Are you using gamepass? Because it feels terrible on gamepass. And takes 3+ minutes to launch, the menus are super buggy and shaders always loading. But the gameplay is smooth
Gamepass edition and Turbo mode is causing high temp GPU warnings, so if you get that switch to Performance and you’ll get results like this. I have a similar video uploaded without frame gen turned on for around 60fps. It’s smooth nonetheless.
@@squad4yt103 no I don't at the moment... all I have downloaded so far is Cod mw3, mk1 , fifa 24 and asseto corsa competitione... Fifa and mk1 both struggle a little and run decently at 60fps. ACC and cod both run 80ish fps and can get 100 plus with fluid motion activated.
How does this compare to playing it on the steam deck? I’ve got the original steam deck and play this a ton… but your video makes it seem way better on the Ally..
@@Elgamingchannel It depends, do you like having lots of battery? The screen is smaller than the GO but the Ally X does run cooler on temps also. Lots to consider for the price tag.
@Elgamingchannel I wouldn't say it's considerable, but it's certainly efficient at the TDP settings available. 17w for instance in this video for MW3, the performance is really nice and we're getting almost 3 hours battery life with online multiplayer.
@@DeckWizard Thank you so mucho for the info. I will keep an eye on more games you upload to make the final call. Also it would be nice to see Elden Ring on the Ally x
I found MW3 to run best on my classic z1e Ally, using a custom 21w profile + fan curve (pretty much fans blasting at 80% when above 70°c) at 1080p with all settings turned to low/lowest, fsr1 set to performance and 60% vram scale target. In ground war, what I play the most, it bounced between 75 and 100 fps. Having said this, I havent played season 5 on it yet so I dont know if the performance remains as fluid. I mention this because the game should not be dipping under 60fps at 1080p regardless of map or gamemode (though on warzone or zombies, itdefinitely will). I find it perplexing that its running rather poorly at 1080p on the X.
I get consistent packet burst when playing online despite port forwarding my Ally X. Some people say it's due to the graphics settings but I have much of it set to medium with FSR3.
@@E_Sunbro I had that on my Ally z1e when I bought it back in december. To fix that constant unplayable packet burst that also caused massive fps drops, I fixed it by setting everything in game to the lowest settings possible. Fsr1 on performance. Vram target on 50%. No texture streaming (off). The ally set to use 6gb vram (I guess on the X you use 8gb). Also fans blasting past 70°c. I dont like having a warm device at all. Custom tdp at 21w (same for spl/sppt/fppt). I went from having rage inducing packet burst to smooth sailing...unless of course MW3's servers werent crap. Having said that, the servers for mw3 multiplayer are abysmal right now, so expect *some* packet burst here and there.
set the preset to medium, cap the fps to 60. lower the brightness to 50, turn down volume, set the resolution to 900p/720p, turn off cpu boost and you get nearly 4 hours

Hey bro quick question why I launch my mw3 on the rog ally x on steam and I will never start the game just loading on the steam menu. Any help?
I'm using it plugged in turbo mode getting 100fps on average at 1080p.. this game plays so well on the rog x!
Are you using gamepass? Because it feels terrible on gamepass. And takes 3+ minutes to launch, the menus are super buggy and shaders always loading. But the gameplay is smooth

I think I’ll buy ally x over deck oled. Thanks man
Difference is like between Ps4 and Ps5 - You will be happy :).
Run the game better on the ally x? Or is the same before on the first ally? And the Fan noise?
Does the aim assistance works I can’t figure it out how to set this up
Because playing with joysticks against mouse and keyboard is a bit hard

why at 17w instead of turbo mode?
Maybe to save battery, show that the game can run at 17W (performance mode) and still be playable at 60fps or above with some adjustments.
