1939 - 3.8 million in army, including panzer divisions, 400000 in luftwaffe and about 50000 in kriegsmarine. Probably the biggest railroad artillery in the world.
1941 - 5 million in army, 1.2 million in luftwaffe, 404000 in kriegsmarine. And more improvements in the equipment.

I have been to Nuremberg 3 times . It is a beautiful city. There are so see some buildings that survived the war, but the most impressive sight is visiting the parade ground. Most of the stands have survived, but is a eary feeling that so much hate grew in one place
