Gardening is hard work but fun and stress relieving, I love how you redesigned your garden. Thanks for sharing this video.

That end of the season cleanup and prep work is so rewarding in the spring when you don’t have to spend so much time weeding through a jungle. It makes spring planting so much more fun.

Emma, the leaf mould will disappear down to about a quarter of what you put in, if I were you, I'd just cut my losses and add them straight in the compost pile.

Hi Emma. Cheryl here from Oklahoma USA. Love your channel. Have you ever considered doing a "Green Roof"? I would love to do that someday and just thought i would throw that idea out there. Take care

How big is it? Water supply?
Hopefully not too much rubbish dumped on it. The things people bring to allotments ( and just leave there) is unbelievable. I feel like the local binman lately. I'd advise you to get a soil test kit and check the pH . You may need to lime it if it's below 6.0- 6.5
If its covered in couch grass , you have two options: dig it all ( won't be easy) or dig a small section for the first year and cover the rest with weed barrier. By autumn next year the ground will be bare and you can dig straight away. My plot is about 90x24 ft; no way was I planning to die trying to de-couch it 😂

Remember you have to remove the front of the comp heap to turn it when it’s full.

Is ground sheet even waterproof? I guess I thought it was weed fabric which is supposed to be water permeable. 🤷‍♀️
