The fact that Inoue can speak a sentence without passive/aggressive hating or outright dissing some of the boxers herein is very telling about his character. I realize that means nothing to some people, but when I see a tremendously elite boxer like Inoue being humble and truthful (he spoke what he thinks is the truth about that particular fight happening, and he also said "why" it wouldn't happen, and that is because there's too much weight between them}. I realize that some boxers play the "villain," and that hypes the fight, as well as sells tickets and PPVs, but it is downright both refreshing and hot to hear someone of Inoue's talent not dissing others in his weight class or those just a bit under and over it. It's common sense that he's not a pacifist just by the way he fights in the ring, but that's where he does his "talking" - in the ring. The only time I've seen him agitated was when Fulton disrespected Inoue's Dad, and I knew that very moment that Inoue would be super-ready and would be devastatingly aggressive in that fight. I actually favored Fulton a tad at first and wished him all the best, as well as safety always, but Inoue dominated that entire fight and, again, some of it had to do with taking up for his Dad in his own way.
I really like Davis, as well. I do think there's way too much weight between him and Inoue, so that's not a reasonable fight, but Davis has plenty on his plate here in just North America and Mexico. It's hard to see anyone beating Davis though, except for Shakur. I believe Shakur would win that fight, short of something being off with him on the night. If Shakur can take Davis' heaviest shot and that consistent power, I believe he would beat Davis.
Note: I do not think ANY boxer is a bum or loser, nor do I blatantly hate on a boxer. I respect what it takes to get inside that ring because your life is on the line. Boxers also have a hard life, in terms of training, closely watching every single thing they eat and working out a LOT. The hugely popular ones are consistently nagged for pics, etc., as well, so it's hard for them to go out to dinner, I'm sure, without being hounded 24/7.
I'd like to see Davis and Shakur. I believe Davis beats Haney, as well as Loma, and I love several of the fighters mentioned quite a bit. Davis is a special fighter; I don't take that away, but Inoue? Too small. Shakur: Perfect, and that fight would be hella interesting to watch.

Bob Arum is hard to take. When Pacquiao was in his prime, he said that in his 50 years in the sport, Pacquiao was the best fighter he ever saw. When Pacquiao got older, you could see Arum flip the switch, turned into an antagonist overnight. When Pac was dominating, after every fight Bob was quick into the ring, giving Pacquiao a huge hug as if he was Manny's father. There's no doubt that with Arum, whoever can fill his pockets is his favorite fighter, he could give a shit when his 'favorite' gets a bit older. I honestly never saw a backstabbing traitor the likes of Bob Arum in my life.

The fact that Tank Davis hasn't been on the Top Ten pound-for-pound list is really an embarrassment for boxing. He clearly is a top ten pound-for-pound boxer and puncher. He can do both. But I don't think he would win so easily in a catch weight vs. Inoue. Inoue is also "different". But I don't think Inoue would have an easy time, and he COULD lose. I would say whoever tags the other guy good first would probably win the fight because once these guys hurt you, they almost always close the show

nonito is right, inoues style looks like his style when he was young, the only difference i think was donaire relies more on his left hook which is basically something an intelligent opponent would be wary of, unlike inoue who has power on both hands, thats the weakness of donaire, once an opponent took care of the left hook and nullify it, nonito doesnt have a plan B but to still try to throw it till it connects. Same reason why he got knocked out by Inoue, cause inoue knows he can take inoues right hand, so he counters when nonito try to punch with his right.
