The rising interest rate can surely control inflation, but won't prevent erosion of the eroding purchasing power of the US dollar. I have learnt my lesson this time. What about apartment rentals why is nobody talking about that I’m forced to live with relatives because of it
Meanwhile, wages are going down. "Those who shouldn't be here" are willing to work longer hours, for less money. This depresses wages for everyone else, especially for actual Americans, who want a livable wage and shorter hours (i.e. to be paid fairly, and to have a healthy work-life balance). "Those who aren't supposed to be here" are jeopardizing both of those things. 11+ hour shifts, 5 days a week (sometimes even 6 days), low hourly wages, and no work-life balance are becoming more and more common, and are on their way to becoming normalized. This represents a **major** setback in terms of quality of life and standard of living. How can anyone enjoy life at all when there is no time to anything besides work and sleep? And despite working all those hours like a dog, the paycheck is barely enough to make basic bills and buy cheap food. It's awful.
