CNN moderators did a good job. They did not try to fact check. The microphone rule worked well. As Biden has refused to take a cognitive test the debate is the next best thing to a test & he failed miserably some of the time. Sure, Biden can still give a speech & did quite well in the State of the Union but can't think on his feet like he could 10 or 15 years ago. Biden could be the Prime Minister of Britain & give a speech outside 10 Downing Street BUT he would not survive one Question Time in their parliament.
They knew he wasn't going to get any better later in the year. Might as well get it done early and then decide. My guess is that it'll be Newsom on the ticket, but who knows.

Bill Barr has changed his tune on voting for Trump, but I remember when he said don't vote for Trump because even if you like his policies he can't get things done.
