    When the cold vein dropped, it literally took me an hour to get to the next track, caused I kept replaying Iron Galaxy, over and over. I was just blown away. One of the greatest hip hop albums of all time.

    Sonically, this tune is a masterpiece. The bars are on point. Think of it as a continuation of GMF - the message. Thanks to the Tony Hawk's Underground in-game soundtrack for clueing me in to this extraordinary tune. Believe me bro. This needs more airplay. Real hip-hop. The production is astounding.

    You really highlight what I love about Vordul Mega - his vocal delivery is like stream-of-consciousness ranting without regard to song structure. He would've done beat poetry in a different lifetime

    This was a beast rhythm - it was in Tony Hawks when I was 10 and I remember how great it was back then. Shit like this got me into hip hop. The backing track is a Giorgio Moroder (the grandfather of disco/electro) song from a 70s film. There is a treasure trove of beats and riffs if you go back like that and sample like most do. I’m going to spark a Jeffrey and listen to some old songs get some cool beats like that and some inspiration.

    My man, just open up Definitive Juxtaposition's (DefJux) music catalog. That was/is El-P's label, so much mad shit he signed/produced/promoted. After a decade of co-running the label, they put it on hiatus indefinitely.

    This album came out the same time MF DOOM released operation dooms day I brought both of them on the same day from virgin records cannibal ox and el-p wasn’t ahead of they’re time they were right on time the progression of hip hop stop with them people just wasn’t feeling it they wanted to dance and hear drug stories the record labels wanted to destroy hip hop that was educational and progressive and that’s were we are today ....peace !

    @ 3:18 When he said F**k 5 I want a 108 mics,he's referring to a Hip Hop magazine in the 90's called Source magazine.Source magazine use to rate rap albums by giving them mics,1 mic means the album was trash and it went up to 5 mics,5 mics means the album was an instant classic.He wants 108 mics meaning their album is way beyond classic status.

    To me still the greatest album collection of beats on 1 record. To me El-P has 2 of the top 5 and neither of those are Run the jewels records. This album and Fantastic Damage.

      As GREAT as Cold Vein is IMO the dynamic duo of R.A.P. Music and Cancer 4 Cure are the absolute masterpieces of production from EL. I listened to the my megamixx cd last week and agree it is a masterpiece but not quite at the level as the 2012 releases above. INSANE that EL-P can have so many great works and continuously blow our minds.
