    "I killed my child" No you did the most selfless thing you could. people keep severly disabled children because its what THEY want. THEY want more time, THEY want to hold it, THEY want to dress it, THEY want pictures, its all about whatTHEY want. You didnt do what you WANTED you did what was RIGHT. It would have been cruel bringing that child into the world to suffer and die all while being concious and able to feel pain and to know death is coming. Abortion was the most selfless thing you could have possibly done, I would never regret that. Ever.

      People aren't doing for their own selfish needs. Watching your baby die in your arms is not about making a happy memory. For many, their moral values or faith determine what they believe about life and death. Some parents don't want their child dying via a medical procedure. They want the child to have an identity, a purpose and to experience being held, and loved by family and friends before they die; I hope that in my final moments i'm not alone but surrounded by people I love. That's not selfishness it's seeking purpose and giving a child a good death.

      She absolutely signed a paper to have her child MURDERED. That's SICK.
      we *ALL* die eventually-
      Some die early in car accidents, house fires, some from medical conditions. How would people feel if we went around ripping every unborn child apart limb from limb who would end up dying before their parent (That's what happens during a normal suction and evacuation abortion- the most common)..
      How horrifyingly SELFISH of parents to just try to prevent THEIR suffering while they watch a child be ill.. How SELFISH to try to spare THEIR GRIEF.
      EVERY life deserves to live and die NATURALLY- not be VIOLENTLY KILLED mercilessly!!!!

    You would NOT want all 3 to take. The risks of miscarriage, extreme premature birth, severe disability for death for the babies; not to mention very high risk for the mother to develop life threatening pre eclampsia, or diabetes (which increases the risks of stillbirth. There are very good reasons why most countries do not allow more than 2 embryos to be transferred.

    • @sexyhomeowner9345
      @sexyhomeowner9345 7 лет назад +7

      Besides not every embryo will 'take' in the first place, that's why more than one is inserted.

    • @sprinklefriend
      @sprinklefriend 7 лет назад +3

      Wrong. Many times all do take. Just no way of knowing ahead of time.

    • @kaypandey7221
      @kaypandey7221 7 лет назад +8

      This is what happened to me. Just to increase the chances of "take", my doctor suggested inserting 3 embryos, assuring me if at all all three take, we can opt for selective reduction. But later on, since two of my babies are sharing placenta, reduction could either be of the one with the separate placenta, or i would have to reduce two! And reducing two out of three meant chances of loosing all three fetuses would rise upto 25%, which is TOO MUCH!!. So I was left with no choice but to carry all three. And now I'm hardly 29 weeks past, and each day feels like death!! But I HAVE to bear it all, because I can't have babies way before time. I wish I just opted for two embryos to be transferred instead of three. I'm GLAD some countries have rules!

      Wait, since 2 of your babies share a placenta, wouldnt that make them identical? Meaning that all 3 that were inserted did not take, but instead only 2 implanted but one of them split.

    I am one of them. This documentary is an eye opener. As a mother, I can travel anywhere to have a child. The dreams of being a mother is something that cannot be extinguished with no results. I have had two IVF in Bio texcom in Ukraine. The two times I had to travel from Canada to Europe. You can imagine the type of need that I was in. Parents are ready to go any extra length just to hold their babies. Being a mother is something that many women look forward to. So going to a different country outside your continent. Is something that many people have been doing. Just in search of affordable treatment with best quality services. In this documentary I have realized how far parents can go. I being a member of such people. I do agree to it.

    This is very weird... the couple with the genetic disorder really shouldn’t be passing on their bad genes to any more kids. If they want a sibling for their kid they could adopt.

      you obviously didn't watch the whole thing... the next pregnancy they ended up terminating as it had the same condition. Then next pregnancy they lost through testing the embryos to check if it was healthy. The genes causing the condition AREN'T passed on - if it has the condition it either dies aged a few months or they terminate. The babies they have that don't have the condition MIGHT be carriers for it, but they will undergo testing themselves prior to having any kids, as to woudl their prospective partners, so they wont go through the same thing.

      TheBadEraLover89 Did you even watch the vid? They had no clue that they carried the disorder until they had the first kid. Every pregnancy after that, they did the right thing (termination, testing, IVF). I don’t think you understood the video. Their desire to avoid having a sick child was exactly the reason they’re even in the documentary.

      They just had Bradley. When he died they tested their other babies/pregnancies to see if they carry the same disease that Bradley had. And with the babies that had the disease, the pregnancy was terminated. Maybe next time you should Watch the video before ya comment ☺️

    I've done PGD IVF and we only transferred one embryo. I think it was very irresponsible of that couple to transfer three embryos. Triplets end up being born too early with a dangerously low birth weight with breathing issues and often with heart defects and feeding issues. It sounds awful but I was glad one foetus passed away, the remaining two now had a far better chance at being born healthy. Humans aren't designed to gestate 3+ babies.

If humans aren't designed to gestate 3+ babies then how come many women around the world have given birth to healthy triplets, quadruplets etc

      I'm not against adoption but it's expensive and it's not guaranteed the mother won't back out (happened twice to my sister in law). That would be just as painful as a miscarriage. For myself my work's insurance is covering my IVF and I've only had to pay a little out of pocket for my meds. It's the more affordable option for us. Plus, I want to carry a child, breast feed them, and look upon their face and guess if they are going to look more like me or my husband. Why can't I try and have those experience many mother's have had? I might consider adoption if IVF doesn't work out, but I want to try this first. It's a personal choice that no one should have to justify.

    When couples have such difficult conceiving healthy children, why can't they just adopt? I think it's selfish to think that you can only love a child that's related to you. Basically you're saying to all the children in foster care and orphanages, "YOURE TRASH." Is this IVF really the most noble pursuit?

    • @clairericaud7805

      Respectfully, there are certain things that one really shouldn't say to any couple struggling with infertility and, "Why can't you just adopt?" is one of them! Nobody really understands the pain of infertility unless they've been there and I'm speaking from experience. The "right" solution for one couple may not necessarily be an acceptable solution for the next and to further complicate matters what one partner in a relationship is ready to consider or accept the other partner may not be ready for at that particular moment in time or ever because grief is very personal and we all respond in our own way and on our own timeline. I'm afraid there is no particular "type" when it comes to infertility, it can strike anyone, even if you are fit and healthy and do everything right. Most people assume that they'll be able to have a baby until they find out that they can't and once there is very little or no hope of having a baby that is genetically both of yours you both need to go through the process of grieving what might have been before you can begin to consider options such as adoption; nothing to do with orphans and children in foster homes being trash!!! On the part of the woman inparticular, IVF is not a pleasant experience and if you are doing it for the man you love maybe it is a pretty noble thing to do in it's own way and a real labour of love in itself.........if your mother goes through all that to have you you can be in no doubt how wanted you were!

      Ah, you make a good point, and you're right. I concede. I guess my deeper concern is with the fact that society looks at adopted kids as unlovable and unworthy. That's what I want to change. Thanks for your response.

    • @catieq5270

      No, I agree with you. There’s a good reason why everyone can’t reproduce, it means your genes shouldn’t be passed on. Instead of going into debt to have a baby how about you adopt or foster the hundreds of thousands of children already in the system. This is borderline narcissistic.

    • @MissNebulosity
      @MissNebulosity 7 лет назад +6

      I don't subscribe to such a harsh view. I just look at infertility as an opportunity to consider other ways to contribute to the human race, such as adopting children. That's all. I personally choose not to have biological children because my family has a history of conditions / genetic risk factors that would make life difficult for my offspring. Instead of just adding that to the gene pool, I'd rather do some good with the time I have on the planet and nurture a child that needs a family.

    • @clairericaud7805
      @clairericaud7805 7 лет назад +16

      I respectfully disagree with you Catie. In at least 10% of cases there is no explanation for infertility and in the cases where the cause can be found it isn't always to do with egg or sperm quality. There is nothing narcissitic about needing to hold your own baby, emotions are not logical and we can't help or choose what we feel; for some nothing else will do and it doesn't make them a bad person and unless infertility has happened to you maybe you should always be mindful of the fact that if it did happen to you your objective view of things may be very quickly swept away by your emotions, i.e. that having your own biological children is not a choice that you have. And you think that adoption is easy or cheaper than IVF? Here in Spain there is a nine year waiting list to adopt a child born here. International adoption is quicker (takes about three years) but costs the equivalent of three IVF cycles (and that's the cheapest available countries)! And that's just the financial cost, don't even get me started on the home visits, meetings with psychologists, parenting classes, interpreters, solicitors, bureaucracy and the waiting, waiting and waiting. Just as financially, mentally and emotionally draining as IVF in many ways. Meanwhile, donor eggs embryo adoption are readily available here at a fraction of the cost, a fraction of the waiting time, very few questions asked and no psychologists involved unless you request support. I understand why people don't adopt................

      how? i believe God wants us to give our best, and the rest that is beyond is in His hands. you can do ivf as many as you want, but only GOD decides which one can produce a baby. IVF is just means, vehicle to have babies, no more or less than having artificial hearts, or having C-section (which is not natural way of delivery). Everyone has a right to be happy. God wants us to multiply and kids are blessings.
