I decided I wanted to spend time in
my real kitchen and not my mini world one.
I believe I managed to get stuff accomplished and
I also believe I made it easier on myself for the week.

I love food prep. It makes it so much easier, especially after work. I'm retired now, but my job as a Nursing assistant was very demanding so food prep was a must. I'm hoping for cool weather soon, because my Daughter and I do not do heat well like you. Have a wonderful week Sheila.🌹
I love food prep too but, sometimes it can be difficult for me to accomplish in a timely fashion. 🙃 I do agree food prep is a must. 😊
I agree it does make it easier for sure and we are set for the week so less for me to do later and of course saves time. 😉
I was enjoying cooler weather here and then this week it is hot and it is going out with a bang!
I thought maybe swimming but, I really just don't want to leave the air conditioning when I don't have to. 😵💫

I totally understand about the heat. We’ve had weeks of 100+ days. Two days last week my husband had doctor appointments. Our vehicle has almost no air conditioning. And it was in and out and in and out and walking in the heat. The second day that week, besides his appointment, we had several other stops to make, including one in an outdoor garden center. More walking in the heat. And I had forgotten to bring cold water with us. After that day, I was practically zombified for a day and a half. Really in bad shape. Well, I won’t forget the water again. 😓

We don’t have air conditioning in our vehicle however I do believe the length of your hot weather is longer than ours.🫤

Rick brought in more cucumbers. So I will be canning more tonight. I did a half gallon of refrigerator pickles. Can never have to many of those since we love them. I will be canning spears tonight. There quick and easy to do. I am getting burnt out on Cucumbers but no complaining since that is putting food back for the next year.
Good job on getting stuff chopped and up and put back for later.
Now that you mentioned pasta salad I want to make a pasta salad. We like to have it like you and eat on it for a few meals.
I need to call up the hill to Youker Farms and see if they have apples in and get some if so and make apple sauce. That is easy also. Rick helps me with that so it goes pretty quickly and the In Laws and boys love it.
Ok I better go and get some things done before the guys get here from work. I did get something done in between watching your video's. But with it being the weekend Monday's is always get caught up from the weekend messes.

I had quarts of zucchini but, when the fridge acted up and we had to defrost it I gave it all to my daughter however that's okay she needed it too.
That is really great on the canning of the pickles.
I still need to get my butt in there to make my homemade wine as I forgot to do that while I was in there. 😂🤣
It's nice prepping like that for the week as now I don't have much to do later and saving me any kind of time is great.
Yes the pasta salad will be Tuesday's meal with any left overs that may be left and or just by itself occasionally we buy garlic bread at dollar tree or make our own as the weather cools down I will probably most likely make my own. 😊😉
Apple Season for us comes in here soon as well.
I will probably visit the apple orchard or the country store in September for apples as I love making homemade apple sauce. 😋

I got 5 quarts of horseradish roasted garlic spears. I did enough but wanted to save some of the smaller ones for eating.
You can zucchini? I tried but it went to mush. Or do you freeze it? No one except me likes zucchini bread so no sense in saving that. Oh wait I could shred it and slip it into spaghetti sauces??? They would never know.
I did end up making a parmesan pasta salad ( Box kind from Dollar Tree). It is kind of bland but when you add thing it is so good. I added in a can of peas and a couple slices of ham lunch meat diced up but you could put what ever you like. Normally I do not buy box salads but that one my husband and I really like. And add seasoning also.
Our apples might not be ready yet. I should just call and see. I am in the state above you. I didn't know if you remembered that?
I do have a TV on the dinning room wall and watch TV and do watch you and other you tube video's. I like that so I don't miss out. And doing 2 things at once. I was just having a very time getting going today. But once I did it got productive so that was nice.
