Thanks for this video! Just moved away from MN and really miss Valleyfair and was super sad to miss the return of valleyscare. Helped me feel like I got to see it 🥰
Absolutely. I had a great time. I will be back there to make another video this weekend. Thank you very much for all the work that you do making this a wonderful event!!!
I’m in Chateau this season. I vastly changed my performance compared to last week and I scared so many more and chased many out of the maze. I’m having a lot more fun!
I wonder if lack of fog is due to security for safety. One year wow it was so thick and no wind...lol extreme swing when high up you could not see the ground OR lights just fog. Omg best ride experience ever so freaky.
That would make sense. I have lots of memories of past ValleyScares being covered in fog. Xtreme Swing in the fog sounds like a ton of fun. Glad you got to experience that.
@rollercoastermotor1665 my brother and I do ha all the time. Yeah it was so thick we often would get lost just on paths... so much fun ha...times were calmer and different then.
Brought my daughter opening day for her first scary Halloween experience, it was pretty decent for an opening night. But I do have to agree with the fog being lite, we just got back from from the second Saturday and it was a lot better imo.
Regarding to your statement about Excalibur being open during ValleyScare in your Valleyfair Opening Day 2024 video, seeing that I agree with you also about the back part of the park and Excalibur being open can be a potential thing for both the park and Excalibur, seeing that I'm also a fan of Excalibur, I messaged Valleyfair about the idea of opening the back part and Excalibur and utilizing the area, unfortunately they had already removed the trains off of the track, they also said that "maybe something to consider for next year"
Yeah Excalibur is fantastic. Would absolutely love to see it open during ValleyScare. I certainly hope the park is considering leaving it open for next year. To add to that, other parks have drained their river rapids ride and used it as a haunt for their haunt event. So Valleyfair could do the same with Thunder Canyon. Perhaps they could add a temporary food booth and/or a bar to further draw people back there. I know that years ago the park would also have haunts within the confines of Soak City as well, but it has been quite a few years since they did that. The park has a fair amount of underutilized space for ValleyScare. I hope they're able to utilize all of that space eventually.
Make sure you get there early next time! You can get in to route 76 as early as 5:30pm and ride steel venom and North Star until they finish clearing the park and then corkscrew reopens at 6:30pm
Blood On The Boundary Waters was WAY better last night. If they actually commit and funnel actors there, you can get jumped. The first night I went, it wasn’t that great.
I agree. It was much better on my second visit and I commented as such in that video. Feel free to check out my second ValleyScare video to see what I felt was different between visits. I would still say that BotBW needs to be a bit longer though. I really like the theme and I hope they expand upon it for next year. It also helps a ton when the fog machines are working in full force and you have little to no wind in the air allowing the fog to properly settle.

That's good to hear. Must have been less wind last night and/or they had more fog machines working.

Absolutely. I would love to get some rides in before doing the haunts on my next visit. Thank you for the advice!
Glad you had fun ! I work in chateau ! 👻

I couldn’t get to chateau on opening day but I’m going again this weekend
Sounds like a plan. Chateau is definitely worth prioritizing. I hope you have a great night!
