ValleyScare October 2024
My second visit to ValleyScare for the 2024 season. My strategy differed slightly from last time as I decided to start with Cryptid Land first before Renegade, Chateau, and Mr. Cleavers. I then made my way through Carnevil to the back three mazes behind High Roller. These mazes were Undertakers, Berserkers, and Blood on the Boundary Waters. Berserkers came off significantly better than it did in my initial visit. The actors really brought that maze to life.

ValleyScare is back from the dead for the 2024 season. The event was gone for the 2023 and 2022 seasons. The event returns with six mazes and three scare zones. I experience all of these in the video and provide my impressions of them. Cryptid Land is the new maze for the year. Other mazes include Chateau Du Damme, Mr. Cleaver's Bloodshed, Blood on the Boundary Waters, Undertakers, and Berserke...

My June visit of the 2024 season at Valleyfair. I found where they are now serving cheese on a stick and it was delicious. I got many rides on Excalibur and Renegade plus one ride on Wild Thing. I also check out various merchandise locations to give an update on what Valleyfa...

Opening day at Valleyfair for the 2024 season. This is my fourth straight year going to opening day at Valleyfair. I note many small changes and things that have stayed the same throughout the years. I speculate on various improvements Valleyfair can make in various locat...

My very first visit to Cedar Point. I had been wanting to come here ever since I was 8 years old and learned about Cedar Point. I managed to ride Gatekeeper, Valravn, Rougarou, Iron Dragon, Gemini, Steel Vengeance, Millenium Force, and Magnum XL-200. I also ate quite a bit of food and spent some time at the Grand Pavilion on the shores of Lake Erie.

Blood On The Boundary Waters was WAY better last night. If they actually commit and funnel actors there, you can get jumped. The first night I went, it wasn’t that great.
I agree. It was much better on my second visit and I commented as such in that video. Feel free to check out my second ValleyScare video to see what I felt was different between visits. I would still say that BotBW needs to be a bit longer though. I really like the theme and I hope they expand upon it for next year. It also helps a ton when the fog machines are working in full force and you have little to no wind in the air allowing the fog to properly settle.
6:58 I can see how you got the two mixed up, seeing that they both have that "EX" sound in the beginning of their names.
I am very appreciative of your ability to understand. I am sometimes able to catch myself in the middle of the act and do multiple takes until I can say the correct thing, but I was unable to that time. Sometimes, I just have to edit in a correction with words on the screen. Thank you very much for watching my videos, paying attention, and leaving a comment. I am extremely appreciative of every bit of interaction that I get.
16:31 They removed RipTide prior to the 2018 season, so it would be seven years since it was removed.
Wow, where has the time gone? It doesn't feel like it has been gone all that long. It's sad to see a space so underutilized. I actually enjoyed that ride, but I don't think many of them are operating anymore. My understanding was that the ride was a bigtime maintenance nightmare.
Make sure you get there early next time! You can get in to route 76 as early as 5:30pm and ride steel venom and North Star until they finish clearing the park and then corkscrew reopens at 6:30pm
Absolutely. I would love to get some rides in before doing the haunts on my next visit. Thank you for the advice!
Thanks for this video! Just moved away from MN and really miss Valleyfair and was super sad to miss the return of valleyscare. Helped me feel like I got to see it 🥰
Happy to help!
I’m in Chateau this season. I vastly changed my performance compared to last week and I scared so many more and chased many out of the maze. I’m having a lot more fun!
I'm glad to hear it. It sounds like a ton of fun. Thank you for all the work that you do scaring people and making this event special!
I wonder if lack of fog is due to security for safety. One year wow it was so thick and no wind...lol extreme swing when high up you could not see the ground OR lights just fog. Omg best ride experience ever so freaky.
That would make sense. I have lots of memories of past ValleyScares being covered in fog. Xtreme Swing in the fog sounds like a ton of fun. Glad you got to experience that.
@rollercoastermotor1665 my brother and I do ha all the time. Yeah it was so thick we often would get lost just on paths... so much fun ha...times were calmer and different then.
Brought my daughter opening day for her first scary Halloween experience, it was pretty decent for an opening night. But I do have to agree with the fog being lite, we just got back from from the second Saturday and it was a lot better imo.
That's good to hear. Must have been less wind last night and/or they had more fog machines working.
15:23 Wild Thing is coming in hot on those trim breaks, that's the fastest that I've seen it go when it approaches the station.
Absolutely. I wish it was always coming in that hot.
Regarding to your statement about Excalibur being open during ValleyScare in your Valleyfair Opening Day 2024 video, seeing that I agree with you also about the back part of the park and Excalibur being open can be a potential thing for both the park and Excalibur, seeing that I'm also a fan of Excalibur, I messaged Valleyfair about the idea of opening the back part and Excalibur and utilizing the area, unfortunately they had already removed the trains off of the track, they also said that "maybe something to consider for next year"
Yeah Excalibur is fantastic. Would absolutely love to see it open during ValleyScare. I certainly hope the park is considering leaving it open for next year. To add to that, other parks have drained their river rapids ride and used it as a haunt for their haunt event. So Valleyfair could do the same with Thunder Canyon. Perhaps they could add a temporary food booth and/or a bar to further draw people back there. I know that years ago the park would also have haunts within the confines of Soak City as well, but it has been quite a few years since they did that. The park has a fair amount of underutilized space for ValleyScare. I hope they're able to utilize all of that space eventually.
Thanks for coming! I’m from Undertakers
Absolutely. I had a great time. I will be back there to make another video this weekend. Thank you very much for all the work that you do making this a wonderful event!!!
15:55 Your right, there used to be a funnel cake stand there, I recall it being there when I went to Valleyfair and had a funnel cake sundae on August 25, 2019.
Glad to hear that I'm not alone in thinking that. I always find it interesting to see the little changes that the park does from year to year. Now they have a much large funnel cake stand to the right as you enter the park. That food service stand has changed quite a few different times now.
Glad you had fun ! I work in chateau ! 👻
Absolutely. It was a ton of fun. Thank you for the work you do on that haunt!!! I will be back this weekend to enjoy it again and make another video.

6:13 if only we knew lol
Yeah the flooding was only just beginning then. Didn't know it was going to get so much worse lol. At least the park seems to have nearly fully recovered at this point. Just have to get Thunder Canyon back up.
I’m glad I made an appearance in your video while operating swing lol

Yeah I didn't think they were too bad. Seats can get a lot cheaper though...... But yeah this is very much closer to the cheaper end of things
Gross. By the way it is the Golf of Mexico.
What?
Gulf is what she meant I believe. It isn't an ocean but the Gulf of Mexico. To be precise everything north of the barrier islands is the Mississippi Sound.
What a butthead. Always someone leaving a rude comment just for the hell of it. There is nothing “gross” about anything in this video. If you’re referring to the water being a brown color, the barrier islands are the reason the Mississippi Sound north of the barrier islands has that color. If there were no islands our water would look just as good as Florida & Alabama water. Get a life.
A new valley fair video it’s a miracle
And there may be more on the way....
Why do you sound like CM punk?
I don't know who CM punk is
When you just get pork instead of pulled pork :D
I know lol. A bit of a disappointment to be sure.
Hi Roller Coster Motor, I am visiting Minneapolis in early July for a week or 2. How busy does the park get on weekends in early July?
Pretty busy. The waterpark can get especially crowded. Rides usually have shorter waits during peak waterpark hours though. If you only want to do rides then you're unlikely to have an issue getting a ride on everything with some rerides. If you want to do the waterpark too then it may be tricky, but still very doable. The worst line might only be an hour. Rides like North Star, Steel Venom, and Mad Mouse usually get the worst lines like 45-60 minutes. I'd prioritize those three. Wild Thing tends to have the among the shortest lines due to high ride capacity. Renegade is the best ride in the park, but with two train operations a 30-45 minute wait is usually the worst it gets. If that ride has one train operations then it may exceed an hour. If you have one full day and want rides and the waterpark then I would strategize. If you have two full days then you won't really need to strategize at all and may run out of things to do.
@@rollercoastermotor1665 thank you for the detailed response!
@@Jadonw9 Absolutely. You are very welcome!
My very first Vikings game was when we played the Colts(noon game), 2:08 we had seats along the 10 yard line, kind of where you are even though you’re kind of up top but we were in that section right below you to the left near the 10 yard line. Watching that game live felt like a Minneapolis miracle especially when we came back, it reminded me of when I watched the Minneapolis miracle on TV. The next day after the Colts Vikings game My Aunt and I went and got NFC North champs hoodies(I still have mine to this day), was a very fun game(when the second half started and when we came back slowly but surely). Now I just need to get myself to go to a primetime home game eventually. I don’t live far from the stadium so it shouldn’t be an issue(20 mins). I’m glad you had fun at this game, I watched this game on TV. SKOL
I very much remember that game against the Colts. I'm sure that was an extremely special game to be at. I've been to some pretty good ones, but nothing near that. Happy to hear from someone who got to experience that. I hope to get to some higher profile games too. Always got to keep an eye out on the schedule and prices. I'm debating all sorts of games I could go to this season and trying to figure out which seems most worth my time and money.
Which concourse does the Orlando to Minneapolis usually use?
Terminal B. I always take the monorail to gates 70-99. I always fly through Delta when going to Orlando and back.
Glad to see the return of the valley fair vids
Absolutely. I plan to keep doing these every year. I have a lot of fun making these videos. I'm hoping to make three or four more Valleyfair videos this summer. I'm extremely excited to be able to make Valleyscare videos this fall too. I'll be making at least two of those this fall.
Just bought tickets for Vikings vs Texans!!
Should be a great one. Have fun!!!
I have yet to buy a ticket, but I’m hoping I could go to a primetime home game, which I believe is against the Bears I believe. Otherwise, I’ll go to the Colts Vikings rematch noon game if I have the money, or maybe when we play ATL(against KIRKO chainz nonetheless), I’m not too sure yet, but I’m trying to save up some money
@@Godless-Beingthere is a really good deal on Vikings vs lions I found on ticket master. Section 105 row 7 for $275.

I live in Gulfport now I would love to visit Ship Island but after watching this, the walking distance to the beach may be more than I am capable of.
I would estimate it is somewhere between a quarter and a half mile from the pier to the beach. Maybe they have wheelchairs available? Or perhaps you'd be able to bring one onto the ship?
If you take the Ship Island Excursion ferry from Gulfport harbor you can bring a wheelchair, walker, cane or whatever you need to walk on the pier. Don’t let something like that keep you from visiting Ship Island.
