Continuity Goof!! Has anyone noticed that at 0:05 Starling is seen opening the letter by cutting under the wax seal with a scalpel, yet at 1:33 Lecter can be seen sealing the letter by licking the flap to activate the envelope's adhesive.
The commentary states that he licked the envelope intentionally to leave traces of his DNA. An envelope sealed with wax would most likely not have adhesive.
In the first shot of this scene it was longer and the PS was about the death of Crawford. That scene showed the lick and sealing wax, but was later cut. Antony Hopkins played a different and longer song on the piano. When they used Bach's Aria instead, it was shortened down for time.
If I were to punish Hannibal for his crimes I would make him choose to eat either a BigMac or a Whopper while watching either Friends or Married... With Children.
I just noticed and it made me wonder why he licks the envelope since it looks like what was actually keeping it closed was the wax seal because when Clarice was opening the letter the exacto knife didn't have to cut the flap on the envelope open it went right under it to be used to carefully separate the wax seal from the paper so it looks to me as though the envelope Lecter used wasn't the type that had the glue on the underside of the flap so again it makes me wonder why he still licked the envelope?😕

Bruh...... I hate this movie so much why did they change so much from the novel. Commit to your gothic romance! Include the line from the same Letter: ‘You are a warrior, clarice. The enemy is dead, the baby safe. You are a warrior. The most stable elements, Clarice, appear in the middle of the periodic table, roughly between iron and silver. Between iron and silver. I think that is appropriate for you. Hannibal Lecter.’ Mmm I’m so salty they didn’t put this in the film... then again I haven’t seen the film. I probably should, just to make sure it has redeeming qualities, like Ridley Scott’s directing, while ignoring things like how Anthony Hopkins decided to make his Lecter voice annoying this time around.
And in the novel , he *loves* her. He hates the FBI with the fire of a thousand suns for their treatment of her (due to Krendler) . And she comes to see that after Jack Crawford dies, there is nothing left of the fidelity, bravery and integrity she thought she stood for in that organization. It ends beautifully for them both, in the book.
@@jadefire2817 I know, I ended up reading the book, it’s actually quite a good ending. While in this letter Lecter does taunt her, throughout the course of the movie I feel like he helps her know her own moral compass. But the book has a better arc! Lecter helps starling find out the FBI is no longer for her, and in fact at chapter 99-101 (the ending) they work through their own trauma that causes them to be what they are: FBI agent and cannibal, together, but something stranger, becoming aristocrats...
Anybody know what the drawing is supposed to reference? I know it’s supposed to be Lecter and Starling. But it’s probably based upon a scene from the Bible or classical mythology.

Hi Clarice Starling))

Bruh...... I hate this movie so much why did they change so much from the novel. Commit to your gothic romance! Include the line from the same Letter:
‘You are a warrior, clarice. The enemy is dead, the baby safe. You are a warrior.
The most stable elements, Clarice, appear in the middle of the periodic table, roughly between iron and silver.
Between iron and silver. I think that is appropriate for you.
Hannibal Lecter.’
Mmm I’m so salty they didn’t put this in the film... then again I haven’t seen the film.
@@nicolesong6199 Right? Now *that's* a movie I'd pay good money to see.
Don't understand why people dislike the ending. They healed each other. It was quite beautiful.
What is the piece of music playing in the background?
Hannibal e inteligente,culto,sofisticado,estrategico e visionario.filme brilhante cheio de suspense e surpresas,Recomendo.
Who else saw the Easter egg from Birman blood money mission in Paris
Anybody know what the drawing is supposed to reference? I know it’s supposed to be Lecter and Starling. But it’s probably based upon a scene from the Bible or classical mythology.
Such a creepy voice Hopkins is the best!!!
What is the name of the song playing?!! I have been trying so hard to find it!
I found out through other comments here, it seems to be Goldberg Variations by J.S. Bach
@@bakarenibsheut12 Correct, it's the Aria, the catalogue number is 988, Lang Lang and Glenn Gould have beautiful interpretations
What is it with the beauty and the beast drawing in the letter? What does it mean?
Clarice is Beauty and He is Beast, DUH!
When I was in the Army I served under a Colonel whose penmanship was just like beautiful........🤔
He seems nice
DAMN YOU ARE FUNNY AS HELL.
My handwriting is THE worst. But I'm not sure that's ALL bad. I can draw pretty well.
Wait, didn't he cut of his hand in silence of the lambs ?
No, he cuts it off at the end of this movie. To escape.
what's the name of this movie??
Hannibal
Nice, thanx!
NOT IN HD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
spare a thought for all the starving kids. not in HD. ffs
What is this song’s title though ? Is it Chopin ?
It's Bach, the Goldberg Variations. It features prominently in Lambs (including the escape scene) and is one of Hannibal's favorites.
Can someone plz tell me what he's playing on the piano
+Mackenzie Hoover Bach's Aria Da Capo, or you can go for the entire composition and look up "Golberg Variations by Glenn Gould."
+Mackenzie Hoover BACH, dear friend :)
Someone Please! The piano solo nane please?
+Paul Chavei Bach's Aria Da Capo, or you can go for the entire composition and look up "Golberg Variations by Glenn Gould."
If he genuinely cares about Clarice, why does he get in those little digs like he's trying to hurt her?
He believes hes helping her as in his mind, Clarice is way above the corrupt law system that she clings onto because of the memory of her father. So Hannibal is trying to have her abandon that and pursue a life more fitting to her.
In the book, he succeeds....
alguém pode postar o filme para assistir obrigado Roberto
