I recall sitting on a bench at Kencho-ji, in Kamakura about 14 years go, hearing this sound. I could have listened to it as I sat on the bench and felt the smooth grain of the wood floor boards under my feet for days.
If you think it would be comfortable to sit outside and listen to a wind chime in the middle of summer in Japan, you're wrong. It's deadly hot and humid. You have to stay inside and use the air conditioner all day long.
