Brilliant thanks for uploading this. The road up to Ashton under lyne before the M60 was built. I remember as a kid sitting on the top deck of the 216/217 bus on the way up to Ashton bus station and the tree branches would be hitting the bus along I think what was then called manchester road. Nice to see this road how it was back then in this video.
think you meant the 218 bus and 216, 217 went from ashton to mossley, only sayin cos i drove those buses. thank you for the film though, was good of ,you to put it up for all of us.
Oh my God, this is GOLD! Brilliant memories of Manchester Rd pre-M60. And how much do I still miss that Birch Street cut through alongside the ICL building. Super thanks for the upload 👍👍
Wow thank you for sharing, such a shame that all those trees have gone all that beauty and green, even Sainsburys why they take down, thank you for letting us witness this 🙏
I was crying with joy watching this how beautiful Denton actually was thank you so much for this video you made me and my family very happy god bless 💚💯👊🏾
Thank you for sharing. When we lived in Ashton, in my teens around 1968 I used to cycle to work in Stockport come rain or shine. Even if I was still fit enough now I would never do that due to the heavy traffic.
There seems to be noticeably less traffic on the road 30 years ago. You drove down where i live on Egerton St but couldn't see my house due to the camera pointing more to the right. One things for certain is knocking Egerton Park school down was an improvement to my view now its more open.
Ashton audenshaw guide bridge.edgy park school corporation road.ashton police station..shame the moss wasnt on there or talcos as we called it great memories

Thanks for posting. This is how it looked when I lived there. I left in 1988. I hardly recognize the place nowadays.

Much less traffic and fewer parked cars than now, especially Denton!! Great decade the 90s , loved it.
