Worst advice possible, regardless of the good intentions. I am indeed salty because of this, but it's clear in my mind how many hours I have wasted in total because of dozens of opponents who were at least 9 points down and with plenty of minutes left in the game clock. And I'm not a GM or anything, quite the opposite, I want to keep growing in chess by playing against others who also want to learn. I do not want to be wasting my time with a manchild who refuses to admit he lost until having no pawns left, and in a fucking rapid game with increment nonetheless...
@@yokatta-f bruh im 1800 and i lost my queen for a bishop...in evens gambit My hand was litterally on the resign button As i realise that my position is very active and i can sense a comeback So i keep playing...as i win back material and at last it was queen vs rook and bishop and white only have 2 pawns on the king side while i have 2 on king side and 2 pass pawns on the queen side It was winning. But white ca draw in some positions cuz both of us was low on time.. And then i march the pawns forward.. sadly because of time pressure.. i ended up losing my pieces and lost on time So this should be great example... Ofc i resign when my position is just dead lost

@@columbo5173 You blundered three pieces and your opponent is clearly winning. Take a deep breath, quit the game, join another one in the lobby and move on with your life.
Tbh, I like people who play to the end. It's like a "gentleman's resignation" when you have great moves and they let you play them. Not the move king 23 times type tho. Also I had this guy repeat moves on his own thinking he's gonna draw lol.
Instead of saving your queen around 1:05, isn't there a trap by playing e3? If they take the queen, it's mate in 1. If they take the pawn, Ne4 renews the mate threat with an attack on the queen. Best option for them is moving pawns to let their king run instead, but it's weakening.
But it's playing on and trying to swindle. Not leaving like this. I am ok with the losing side being successful at swindling, but I can't stand those letting the time run out.

I mean... If they are taking 2 minutes to play a move, they can just be thinking. That's not hoping you leave. If they wait until there's a couple of seconds on their clock, then yea that's stalling. They also only have a couple of seconds on their clock while you have a couple of minutes. They're going to lose soon.
I had something like this once. His King was almost at the center of the board surrounded by 2 bishops, a queen, a knight, the 3 pawns. Needless to say, resigned after 5 mins
Playing on and trying to swindle > Hitting resign button > Left the game and went offline > Wait until loses on time > Wait and come back to move, like in the video
DUDE I actually played a game against that type of player TODAY, except I was white and my opponent was black He just stopped playing and kept taunting me with emojis because I was going to promote a pawn to a queen, and there was no way he could prevent it Needless to say, he lost by timeout, and I won :) P.s: I got to promote the pawn to a queen :)
And what made things worse for me when he stopped playing, was that my mom was waiting for me so we could go to the health post, so everytime mom was like "come on, let's go", I was like "Hold on, I'm almost done here"
I remember an opponent back then who waited for 9 minutes straight thinking that I would get bored and forfeit XD
i had that too XD

If you are losing just eat all enemy pieces and hope that they stalemate
400 take
i always do this
And then there are those who leave the game and you have to wait 10+ minutes for it to finish ...
Actually it's better to resign when your losing because it is more respectful than wasting time like this.
