A couple weeks ago I took a road trip with my buddy Sam to do some powder skiing. Like most of my best trips this was a last minute plan that came together only days before we headed south for our Florida Trip with Uncle Larry Outdoors and the crew! (Video of this to come soon!). I'm sure you've seen Sam VanFishing in a couple of my other videos so your probably wondering why we're not fishing! Well we were craving a little more adrenaline than usual so we busted out the planks and hit the mountains. This was a 2 day trip where we were in a winter wonderland aka the Jay cloud. This resort has their own weather system dumping over 300 inches of snow on average annually! It is absolutely INSANE! And we're stoking because we're skiing it!
It was an adventure alright. Just like any other outdoor expedition we were exploring. Going off the beaten path to find out own powder staches and secret runs! Sounds similar to fishing right?! Recently I've been noticing the interconnectedness of all the things I am passionate about in my life. Bottom line in all these activities in order to have a good time and get something out of it is
1.) Live in the moment, take things as they come
2. Do you and go with your intuition
3. Let loose and have fun (No Stressin)
4. Things don't go as planned; keep at it and don't let a little hiccup bring you down from a great day
5. Let the next step come naturally
6. Take something away from it!
Oh I almost completely forgot to give a shout out to the heros of the trip!!!!!! Melissa and Eric! The story is dope. Sam and I finish a sick day of skiing (Day 1) We rip it to the bottom of the mtn and sam wants to go home. I wanted to chill by the fire at the base which no one was enjoying somehow. It was such a vibe and I just felt so drawn to chillin there. So sam decides I'm right and joins me. We're just chillin and we end up meeting new friends, Melissa and Eric who skied hard the whole day and owned the slopes! Eric came rippin down after his best run of the day and we just started talking. Turns out were all on the same page and SEND IT! We have some cool convos about life, work, how to be successful, cell phone use; all that good stuff. And these two legends tell us that they have an extra two passes for the next day that they weren't able to use! So thank you so much again for being amazing and looking out for us like fam! Even though we just met! That's what its all about. Great energy and amazing trip! Thank for for making it even more epic guys!!!
Love Jay ! One year we had 555 inches of snow. Will never forget that year.

My buddy and I went up for the first time last January. Reminded me of this. Woke up to about 14 inches of powder on the first night, and about 9-10 more each morning after. Best east coast skiing of my life. Now this has me hyped for this season!
