  • We at IIT Kanpur are building autonomous solutions for industrial inspection and surveillance, reducing the need for humans for mundane and hazardous tasks. Our solution uses quadruped robots with superior mobility over wheeled robots in non-flat terrain usually encountered in industrial settings. We are developing 'India's First Industrial Quadruped Robot,' innovating in design and additive manufacturing technologies and providing software solutions driven by state-of-the-art AI technologies. At IInvenTiv 2024, we present the Svan M2 quadruped robot, which has a payload capacity of 5 kilograms, endurance of up to 60 minutes in normal working conditions, and a top speed of 1.5 m/s.
With AI and robotics at the helm of technological development plans for India, indigenous robots capable of going anywhere while interacting with humans are the future. The global legged robot market is growing at a CAGR of more than 14%, and the global addressable market is worth $2.5B for legged robots. Hence, a start-up, xTerra Robotics, is developing this technology under a start-up, xTerra Robotics Pvt. Ltd.

Good! Change the title "GOOD SYSTEM DESIGNS nothing new" ! this robot design is heavily cited the work from the MIT GUY "BEN KATZ THESIS". Please don't fool yourself by saying indigenous.
    Paper:
"A Low Cost Modular Actuator for Dynamic Robot" - Benjamin Katz - MIT MASTER THESIS.

What's your point? That's how research works. Ben Katz's thesis is in turn based on a larger MIT Cheetah actuator proposed in a 2012 paper. Also Ben Katz made his work open source which means others can derive from it. By indigenous, they probably mean that all the parts are manufactured indigenously.
