Hi I am going to put some FAQ here for the build: Q: How are you using mana to throw traps? A: I am not, slavedriver's gloves make the traps cost mana. In order to throw the traps you will need slavedriver's or you will need to go EB. Since we don't get much ES the best way to go EB is replica sarrow of the divine flask combined with a life flask. Q: Why are you not using summon an additional totem on the bow passive tree? A: Yes this is more damage, but this was very early on in the league and I had not put any time towards creating a passive tree for the bow. I was just looking for the totem explode. I would highly recommend making a good bow passive tree before you craft the bow so you can beast imprint to make the process easier Q: How did you craft the bow? A: I put a guide in the other pinned comment outlining how I crafted the bow Q: What Atlas strategy should I use with this build? What should I farm? A: It is really up to you the build is able to do just about anything, aside from content that needs full screen clearing clear speeed. The only things I wouldn't recommend doing are leagion and probably deli mirror, primarily because those two benifit from massive clear speed.
Many people have asked so here is a guide for the Bow craft that I did: 1.) Buy / make a Maraketh Base (No influence) with the 600% totem explode 2.) Essence of Misery until T1 Damage over time multiplier (or T2 if you want to settle for a little less damage) 3a.) If there is a 3rd suffix this will need to be annuled off and if you fail the annul and hit cast speed or DOT go back to step 2 3b.) if you have 3 prefixes you will need to annul of one of them so you only have 2. If you fail and hit cast speed or DOT go back to step 2 4.) You should now have a rare Maraketh Bow with at most 2 prefixes, and only Cast speed and DOT multi as the 2 suffixes. If this is wrong revisit steps 3a and 3b 5.) Craft suffixes Cannot Be Changed and scouring orb the bow to remove all the prefixes but keeping both of the suffixes 6.) Now the Bow should have only 2 mods, Cast speed and DOT Multi 7.) Craft cannot roll attack modifiers 8.) Exalt Slam. Since we have 3 prefixes (cannot roll attacks, Cast speed, and Dot multi) the only non attack mod that can roll is +1 to socketed gems. 9.) With Cannot Roll Attack Modifiers still crafted on the bow Hunter Exalt Slam. Again with full suffixes the only non attack hunter mod is increased Chaos damge over time. 10.) remove Cannot Roll Attack Modifiers and Craft +2 to socketed support gems 11.) At this point the craft is done. You can do a final YOLO exalt if you wouid like to try and hit a good sixth mod
@@mclovin4974 does not have to be, but this is the best base for the build since base stats don't matter so the best thing we can get is the move speed from maraketh
@@amafi_poe The cast speed synergies with Slavedriver's Hands, which turns it into trap throwing speed. If you run EB instead of Slavedriver's then you would use a difference essence when crafting the bow.
I mean in terms of the raw item value after crafting it is probably a little more expensive than an ashes in terms of raw value. In truth yes the bow was a 2 div base that I spent ~8 div crafting on making the cost to me about half of the ashes.
I’m not sure why but I can’t run all the auras and I’m level 100 with about the same gear I even got mana reservation on my helmet as an implicit ( i Found out why I had supreme ego activated )
Why arnt you playing with the double totem mod on bow crucible? Why are you using multi totems instead of enhance? Would you make a vid crafting a bow or explain me how you did it? Thanks in advance!
yeah. I just pinned a comment with how I craftred the bow so you can check that out. In terms of enhance vs multiple totems, it causes our traps to summon 2 totems each, so double damage, vs enhance which will give them some more life but not enough to equal double damage. The reason I don't have the additional totem mod on the bow is bc I have not spent any time trying to make one. Yes the additional totem node for the tree would be more damage, but the build is already basically dot capping Ubers so I am in no rush to get more damage haha.

I am not a super experience trap player, and it does seem that there is some trigger delay to the traps, it does seem like there is some loss in damage based on the trap arm time. As a result the cast speed really is only helping the quality of life for clearing with being able to throw the traps fasterand move on. As a result against bosses yeah proably a bit of over throw so no need to scale as much cast speed as I have.
dont you use the 70% chance for putting down an additional totem cruicible node combined with the 30% mastery note? wouldnt that not made this even more rediculious?

Why is empower used rather than enhance? As far as I can tell the quality from enhance gives more totem life% for devouring totem than empower? Thanks!
Yeah the budget version is set to a higher level, but this can be easily solved by just removing a cluster and some life. The build will still do some good damage and have some survivability.
Petrified blood reserves 35%, Herald of Agony is 25%, Purity of Elements is 50%, Grace is 50% so you're reserving too much. You need the mana reservation efficiency to bring those numbers down to fit them all.
Thanks for your video ! I'm wondering something, I did like 2 quad stashs of id bow, I hited only 2 times explode totem, and its 400% mod. (2 quad stash with only ilvl 83+) Do I need to id some specific bases ? Keep going' ! I'm playing this build in SSF it'll help me kill some ubers !
I do not know if there are any tricks to getting it to role yourself. I personally think I have only roled 400%s as well. You could also try recombining the unused 400% ones since they have a chance to upgrade.
I have a dumb question. I have a maraketh bow with the 600% totem node but I haven't crafted it yet (can't afford to just now). However my bow does have 20% chance to poison with some poison dmg. Does that affect my totem explosion chance to poison or is it local only? My tooltip doesn't seem to update in my character sheet and PoB is confusing and I can't find this final value. Thanks!
So I am currently using asenath with sorrow of the divine flask with life flask and then quicksilver, granite and quartz for my other 3 flasks. Which one should I replace for taste of hate or would it be better to wait until I get slavedrivers or the quarts infusion forbidden combo to replace the quartz?
You can enchant utility flasks to activate under certain conditions (like use when flask charges are full) using instilling orbs or the bench crafts once you unlock them
Can anyone tell me for the totem explode build - the 70% chance on crucible tree plus 30% mastery that now gives you 100% chance to summon two totems - do you still need a source of +1 to max summon totem elsewhere for it to be effective? because even with this setup i only summon 1 totem at a time because I would assume I have no source of +1 max totem
Specifically no: you want to exceed your totem limit as much as possible, additional max totems will actually nerf your damage. If you have 25 traps down, each summons 2 totems (70% chance on crucible tree plus 30% mastery as you mentioned), then when all the traps go off you get 49 explosions. If you have 2 max totems, you'll get 24 explosions (1 per trap)
You get 48 explosions not 24. You summon 50 totems, keep 2 , rest dies. You only miss out on 1 explosion, wich isn't a lot, but still a nerv that you even invested points for. So not advisable but not as horrible as half damage.
Not true in the slightest. At least 1 enlighten probably, enlighten on vitality is not needed at all, the reservation efficiency from ashes can be bypassed with the new mana mastery (which gives 12), and the extra poison chance from quality provided by ashes can be gotten by instead of dot multi crafting the bow for poison chance. Poison chance can also be gotten through the curse mastery for a chance to poison cursed enemies. Also, most of the tankyness of the build comes from full phys convert and triple elemental flasks.
Hi, so is the poison from Master toxicists meant to spread to enemies? for some reason mine doesnt do anything and i always have a flask effect going, Would there be a reason for this?
What Atlas tree would you suggest for this build? I've bought and build pretty much the same build, having a blast and cleared all bosses etc easy. But curious on what atlas tree I should run to make some more currency.
honestly it is entirly up to you. It can do just about anything, besides farming techniques that benifit from turbo clear speed. Bossing, simulacrums, harvest, heist, breach, expedition, delve, invitation farming.... Lots of options
It will reduce the physical damage that you are doing yes.... in terms of gimping the build, this would really only reduce your damage by like 5-10 percent since we are gaining so much phys as extra chaos it makes our total phys damage only like half the damage pool. I would definitely recommend eventually upgrading to a weapon that does not have this, but it won't ruin the build.
@@DroopSpyda aight good to know. I think you can cheese crucible trees by combining two that have the same node in the same spot (ie 1 down 2 up). It’s worked every time I’ve tried, but not sure if it can get hit with the “mutated into a different node”. Hopefully it doesn’t. Already invested a few divines. Got max roll on essence cast speed and t2 Hunter roll. :Sadge:
ok so i keep seeing everyone use this node and im super confused. I was under the impression that master toxicist would not work with traps. Is there i am something i am missing here that makes it usable?
Clear speed is okay I would rate it like 7/10. If you have played poison conc before it is very similar wherre you have a target big poison skill and then use plague bearer to help with the clear.
It is something that I would like to work into the build from where I am at 95 to level 100. I initially had a lot of Max ES built in with less life, but I found that the more life was much more impactful to the feel of the build since we are already mitigating so much damage.
I'm currently running this build an it's a great bosser, however the mana cost seems high and as a result seems slow mapping as sometimes I'm waiting for mana recharge before spamming my totems. How are you dealing with this in your build? - just noticed the slavedrivers are health used. Any tips for builds without these gloves?
First slavedrivers are huge, but there is some tech with running replica sorrow of the divine sulphur flask combined with a health flask. This gives you EB and makes your life flask effect ES rather then HP. This combo will give you a much better experience!
@@DroopSpyda is there anyway to throw more than 2 casts since my traps cost 160 mana each cast i cannot even reserve as much mana as you do and i dont have enough energy shield to run the replica sorrow of the divne flask
@@pimol708 Are you running a life flask with the sorrow? If you are running a life flask and still can not cast enough,then you might have to switch some of your rares to be ES evasion hybrid.
Good question. I am not super familiar with the original FR totem build, but if you have played posion concoction, this build is basically a poison concoction on steroids.

I've been all over poe ninja and youtube trying to understand why everyone is using petrified blood. what is the benefit of petrified blood if you're only reserving vitality? Also why are you reserving vitality, and why with arrogance?
We are using petrified blood because it is very strong as a defensive layer when we are below half health, and we are not reserving any more life because with the new Life flask pathfinder ascendency node we can still use our entire life pool since we always have life flask recovery going.
I've been using my level 5 bow with 400% explosion up to level 70 now so the bow stats don't seem to matter much, the damage is coming from totem health/gem level and poison damage
Sorry I am not sure if you have divergent herald of agony active. Also are there any other auras we can reserve with life other than vitality? With my reservation efficiency and enlighten lvl 2's i don,t have enough mana for herald of agony. What does plague bearer do? sorry im kinda new
If you need more mana reservation you can drop 3 points somewhere to pick up a mana mastery for 12 reservation efficiency. In terms of other auras on life not really. you could potentially run a defiance banner, but I think having the extra unreserved life feels better than some extra evasion. you need Herald of agony as it is the majority of the poison chance. plague bearer stores up based on poison damage you do, when you hit the skill again it will activate and do chaos damage in an AOE around you. It is really nice for some extra clear speed.
I would say the clear speed of the build is more like a 7/10. It is not going to easily screen clear. Think just a much heavier hitting poison concoction in my opinion.
@@DroopSpydaty for your reply Any thoughts on using charged support instead of multiple totems when we have the crucible tree that places two totems at 70% chance. Also , any idea if the 70% chance one along with 30% from tree would guarantee second totem. I was able to test and i think its 100% chance but I'm not sure.
@@rajbharathece I have not tested the throw additional totems and if it stacks from the two mods, but if you can get 100% chance to throw additional totems from the tree I would think that charged support would be something that you could swap in if you want some more speed out of the build. Even though the build is dot capped, the more totems exploding just means you get there quicker.
The 344% increased cast speed in your pob is affecting your trap throw speed because you are using slavedriver's, not sure why you used both 344 increased and 100 more. You end up with a cast rate of 17.8 on your ethereal knives, and in your showcase you are def not throwing traps 17.8 times a second. Also, why did you set boss skill preset to "maven memory game" that inflates EHP by 50k+..
344% matches trap throw speed 100% more is essentially to simulate having each trap summon 2 totems due to multiple totems support. Also That is a good point about maven memory game I ment to have it set to shaper slam. In terms of EHP from regular content POB is not really good at showing EHP of a Petrified blood build with a massive amount of recovery. In all honesty that is the main purpose of the simi showcase is to show the EHP of the build as that is probably the best content to stress test survivability.
@@DroopSpyda Because you are wearing slavedriver's which convert cast speed to trap throw speed, the 344% added inflates the trap throw speed and EK cast speed, essentially double dipping. You are not throwing traps 8 times a second. If you want to accurately match EK cast speed to throw speed you need to use "more cast" not "increased cast".
@@special-k1966 So to come up with this number I went in game to determine what my trap throw rate was around 1.78. I multiplied this number by 5 for the number of traps and then made the custom mode to tailer the EK cast rate in POB to match this which is about 8.9. I then I added the 100% more cast rate to simulate the number of totems. This number was derived from doing just a calculation based on my in game throw speed and the number of totems and then using the config window to simulate this for EK. To be clear I am throwing a set of 5 traps 1.78 times a second and each trap summons 2 totems, therefore I am effectively hitting 17.8 times a second with the totems. All I am simply doing with the two cast speed config lines was making the cast rate of EK match this number. 344 was not derived anywhere it was simply found through testing cast speed increases untill I matched this.
I might have missed it but: since you're already running the stun tech have you considered bloodnotch? Might be a bit overkill but as long as hit doesn kill you you recover the damage you take and mitigate the rest with PB.
yeah I had one early on and I just did not notice the effect as much since the build has so many sources of recovery especially when it is taking damage. It is definitly something that can be easily swapped in for one of the rare jewels!
I think the DB says the weighting for the mod is like 250 for 400% and 250 for 600%. There are many other column 3/4 nodes that have over 1000 weighting. So it is kinda rare.

Ashes isn’t needed though. Use Rejuvenate instead of devouring totem, use a +1 neck. Donezo

I play this build on shadow with Mageblood the best build iv ran to date i love it can do anything in game with ease

Empower raises the base level of the totem which increases the base health.

90 is quite easy to hit I think, at 93 it starts getting quite slow in maps

There's a poison mastery for it, and you can also craft poison chance% on your bow, besides that, Ashes gives your herald a higher chance to poison.

You can enchant flasks with the mod "Use when charges reach full" This can be done at your crafting bench for 5 instilling orbs and 5 glassblowers

Basically you can't get this tanky without 2 enlighten gems and an Ashes of the Stars which total is near 30 div.

Poison chance can also be gotten through the curse mastery for a chance to poison cursed enemies. Also, most of the tankyness of the build comes from full phys convert and triple elemental flasks.

honestly it is entirly up to you. It can do just about anything, besides farming techniques that benifit from turbo clear speed. Bossing, simulacrums, harvest, heist, breach, expedition, delve, invitation farming.... Lots of options

if there is a node on my crucible tree that converts 25% of phys dmg to fire, is that gonna gimp the build? Guessing the answer is yes.
It will reduce the physical damage that you are doing yes.... in terms of gimping the build, this would really only reduce your damage by like 5-10 percent since we are gaining so much phys as extra chaos it makes our total phys damage only like half the damage pool. I would definitely recommend eventually upgrading to a weapon that does not have this, but it won't ruin the build.
@@DroopSpyda aight good to know. I think you can cheese crucible trees by combining two that have the same node in the same spot (ie 1 down 2 up). It’s worked every time I’ve tried, but not sure if it can get hit with the “mutated into a different node”. Hopefully it doesn’t. Already invested a few divines. Got max roll on essence cast speed and t2 Hunter roll. :Sadge:

ok so i keep seeing everyone use this node and im super confused. I was under the impression that master toxicist would not work with traps. Is there i am something i am missing here that makes it usable?

Clear speed is okay I would rate it like 7/10. If you have played poison conc before it is very similar wherre you have a target big poison skill and then use plague bearer to help with the clear.

It is something that I would like to work into the build from where I am at 95 to level 100. I initially had a lot of Max ES built in with less life, but I found that the more life was much more impactful to the feel of the build since we are already mitigating so much damage.
I'm currently running this build an it's a great bosser, however the mana cost seems high and as a result seems slow mapping as sometimes I'm waiting for mana recharge before spamming my totems. How are you dealing with this in your build? - just noticed the slavedrivers are health used. Any tips for builds without these gloves?
First slavedrivers are huge, but there is some tech with running replica sorrow of the divine sulphur flask combined with a health flask. This gives you EB and makes your life flask effect ES rather then HP. This combo will give you a much better experience!

@@pimol708 Are you running a life flask with the sorrow? If you are running a life flask and still can not cast enough,then you might have to switch some of your rares to be ES evasion hybrid.

Good question. I am not super familiar with the original FR totem build, but if you have played posion concoction, this build is basically a poison concoction on steroids.

I've been all over poe ninja and youtube trying to understand why everyone is using petrified blood. what is the benefit of petrified blood if you're only reserving vitality? Also why are you reserving vitality, and why with arrogance?
We are using petrified blood because it is very strong as a defensive layer when we are below half health, and we are not reserving any more life because with the new Life flask pathfinder ascendency node we can still use our entire life pool since we always have life flask recovery going.
can i do with thicket bow?
I've been using my level 5 bow with 400% explosion up to level 70 now so the bow stats don't seem to matter much, the damage is coming from totem health/gem level and poison damage
any bow but u can use maraketh for ms

Sorry I am not sure if you have divergent herald of agony active. Also are there any other auras we can reserve with life other than vitality? With my reservation efficiency and enlighten lvl 2's i don,t have enough mana for herald of agony. What does plague bearer do? sorry im kinda new
If you need more mana reservation you can drop 3 points somewhere to pick up a mana mastery for 12 reservation efficiency. In terms of other auras on life not really. you could potentially run a defiance banner, but I think having the extra unreserved life feels better than some extra evasion. you need Herald of agony as it is the majority of the poison chance. plague bearer stores up based on poison damage you do, when you hit the skill again it will activate and do chaos damage in an AOE around you. It is really nice for some extra clear speed.

I would say the clear speed of the build is more like a 7/10. It is not going to easily screen clear. Think just a much heavier hitting poison concoction in my opinion.
@@DroopSpydaty for your reply Any thoughts on using charged support instead of multiple totems when we have the crucible tree that places two totems at 70% chance. Also , any idea if the 70% chance one along with 30% from tree would guarantee second totem. I was able to test and i think its 100% chance but I'm not sure.
@@rajbharathece I have not tested the throw additional totems and if it stacks from the two mods, but if you can get 100% chance to throw additional totems from the tree I would think that charged support would be something that you could swap in if you want some more speed out of the build. Even though the build is dot capped, the more totems exploding just means you get there quicker.
The 344% increased cast speed in your pob is affecting your trap throw speed because you are using slavedriver's, not sure why you used both 344 increased and 100 more. You end up with a cast rate of 17.8 on your ethereal knives, and in your showcase you are def not throwing traps 17.8 times a second. Also, why did you set boss skill preset to "maven memory game" that inflates EHP by 50k+..
344% matches trap throw speed 100% more is essentially to simulate having each trap summon 2 totems due to multiple totems support. Also That is a good point about maven memory game I ment to have it set to shaper slam. In terms of EHP from regular content POB is not really good at showing EHP of a Petrified blood build with a massive amount of recovery. In all honesty that is the main purpose of the simi showcase is to show the EHP of the build as that is probably the best content to stress test survivability.
@@DroopSpyda Because you are wearing slavedriver's which convert cast speed to trap throw speed, the 344% added inflates the trap throw speed and EK cast speed, essentially double dipping. You are not throwing traps 8 times a second. If you want to accurately match EK cast speed to throw speed you need to use "more cast" not "increased cast".
@@special-k1966 So to come up with this number I went in game to determine what my trap throw rate was around 1.78. I multiplied this number by 5 for the number of traps and then made the custom mode to tailer the EK cast rate in POB to match this which is about 8.9. I then I added the 100% more cast rate to simulate the number of totems. This number was derived from doing just a calculation based on my in game throw speed and the number of totems and then using the config window to simulate this for EK. To be clear I am throwing a set of 5 traps 1.78 times a second and each trap summons 2 totems, therefore I am effectively hitting 17.8 times a second with the totems. All I am simply doing with the two cast speed config lines was making the cast rate of EK match this number. 344 was not derived anywhere it was simply found through testing cast speed increases untill I matched this.

I might have missed it but: since you're already running the stun tech have you considered bloodnotch? Might be a bit overkill but as long as hit doesn kill you you recover the damage you take and mitigate the rest with PB.
yeah I had one early on and I just did not notice the effect as much since the build has so many sources of recovery especially when it is taking damage. It is definitly something that can be easily swapped in for one of the rare jewels!
Why is the fuckin crucible mod so hard to get on bows?!?
I think the DB says the weighting for the mod is like 250 for 400% and 250 for 600%. There are many other column 3/4 nodes that have over 1000 weighting. So it is kinda rare.
