Yea, this is much better than waiting until 2:30AM and throwing each breaker to see what happens. Everyone wakes up in the morning wondering why none of the clocks are correct on all the appliances, while you just quietly drink your coffee and pretend like you don't have a clue.
I have a much cheaper but similar item. I have to adjust a knob until it just stops beeping whenever it beeps, moving on to the next circuit breaker. Then once it stops beeping, I move it back a touch and it will only beep at the correct one. Yours is MUCH better.
Does anyone have experience using this tool with an electrical panel that utilizes tandem breakers? Can it pinpoint the correct individual circuit on the tandem breaker device (hope this question makes sense :)?
The 15A style plug designed to fit in 120-volt receptacles is not going to fit into say a 30A dryer receptacle or a 50A arc welder receptacle. Yes, theoretically you could stick stripped wires into a receptacle and use alligator clips (which they provide) on the ends but is potentially hazardous. There are only so many 240V circuits and many of them are hardwired. I would just use a plan old voltage tester which beeps when it gets near a hot wire. It will signal through conduit.
It works with PHASE/ LIVE WIRE if MCB Only .... if I want to Trace out for NEUTRAL wire Coming from any Outlet Socket by opening up DB DISTRIBUTION BOARD does it identify Neutral Wire also connected on NEUTRAL BAR CONNECTOR in DB ....This Job of tracing to be Done by Profession Electrician only NOT TO POEN DB BY any UNPROFESSIONAL PERSONAL Person HIGH RISK OF GETTING SHOCK ...PL make VDO. ON NEUTRAL TESTING ALSO ....KLEIN ET 310

would it work without grounding?
Wow,this is just what i needed,I was about to just start flipping switches to see which breaker is which....Thanks for tutorial
Hi, i wonder if it works on 3 phase power which sometimes they just use one of those three.

What’s the difference between the Klein ET310 and the RT250 testers. thanks

Thanks for sharing. I love it, helps make things easier.
@TRF Product Reviews I assume this doesn't work for finding a tripped/ off breakers where there is no voltage in circuit to power the plug in tool?
So you need to scan all them first?
Yes because it needs to detect the breaker.
So we use it on live wire?
Does this work on older circuit breakers ?
i have 2 dead plugs and need to know which breaker to turn off before i work on them. Will this work with no power in the outlet?
I don't think so, I think it needs to have power to the outlet to detect where it is plugged in.
Always use a multimeter to make sure a circuit is open.
Is there any short circuit finder?
Does it still trace with the circuit dead?
thats handy and useful, but for that price it should also be able to be used as a non contact voltage detector

What does the button do?
The button will trip/test a gfi receptacle
Thank you 😊
I bought the Klein ET310 from Home Depot, try on two different houses (total 6 time trying) but none working. This is junk!
Is there a trick to use it to find 240?
Yeah. Bend the prong sideways. 😂
will this work on a 220 volt circuit?
I believe so.

It's not a circuit board. That's a breaker box/panel. Circuit boards are for small electronic controls and systems, not main power distribution
Mine doesn't work either, I've had multiple brands and they're all inconsistant
False positive on every Siemens breaker.
