What do you do with your lpfp if we’re we’re running a Hobbs switch? Getting fuel pump codes after motiv install. There must be something I’m missing. Car ran perfectly on 25psi and fuel cuts at 17 now
Well when i went port injection i needed to upgrade my pumps, so im running dual low pressure pumps with a hob switch on the charge pipe, when the DME sees 13psi it kicks on the secondary pump. Motiv has starter maps but its best to get custom maps for ur reflex to increase the duty cycle on the port injection to keep less stress on the high pressure pump. If you’re getting fuel pump codes, could just be the rail pressure is crashing/ekp overheating, or even bad low pressure pump. Lots of variables. Record logs and see them, contact your tuner
@@brandon_30ff ken from wedge is my tuner. Was trying to solve my own problems before I go to him as i thought maybe it was an install error I made. I’ve kept my Hobbs intact since I had aic pi so good to know . I have a precision raceworks stage 3 lpfp as well so just baffled. Thank you for your reply. Your videos helped a lot.
Whenever you open up tunerpro, are you able to see your MAPvoltage, rpm’s, battery voltage and what not? Or is that only for cars with the canbus function?
Yes you can. I would attach photos if i could but i used to test to see if my bar pressure sensor was reading in the reflex. You can see a good amount of the live data.
@@brandon_30ff cool man thanks! I’ll have to dig through the software. I can’t tell if it’s working properly or not but I hope it is. I had nothing but issues trying to get my car up and going, but it could always be a tuner issue too.
So im going to explain as if you might not know how custom tune works. For example you pay for a custom tune tuner emails you a file, you upload it through MHD. Record logs, send the logs to your tuner and they email you a revision and you flash and do the process again. Seems easy? There is no difference with the motiv reflex. Your tuner SHOULD send u a .BIN file for the motiv reflex and you upload it. Depending how your vehicle is reacting to the tune lets say he needs to increase the duty cycle for the port injection, they’ll make adjustments and send you another revision(in a perfect world) and you upload it in the reflex again. All my logging was done through MHD. So most of the time you will have to flash MHD more than the reflex. For example you get 11 revisions through MHD, and 2 for the motiv reflex. I tried to keep it simple without trying to sound confusing. If you need me to answer more questions ask away.
@@brandon_30ff hey Brandon I just got a port injection custom tune from wedge as well but I’m having issues setting up the reflex plus. I bought a flexfuel tune but am having trouble with pressure sensor and getting an actual reading on the ethanol with the flex fuel analyzer. @@giotrujillo360715 yes correct. UNLESS you do a software update u may need to upload the xdf. When you open tuner pro you’ll be able to see the files on the top of the screen. It should say what bin/xdf/and i forgot the last one.
@dcrasta Hi guys, I’m having exactly the same issue dcrasta was mentioning.. bootloader lets me upload firmware, but then TunerPro RT keeps saying “Hardware Not Found”. I’ve re-done the steps for bin, adx, xdf too many times to no avail, and purchased/tried countless cables. The computer rings up when the ignition is turned on but still hardware not found.. any comments/guide anything is appreciated.
@@brandon_30ff hey, in bootloader everything is successful. The problem is tunerpro. The button for initializing hardware is there and I can click it but the button with the arrow for uploading is not available to click. When I click initialize it thinks and then says hardware not available.
Not sure exactly then, if u follow the step by step from connecting to turning on the igniton how I have it it should work. Maybe try deleting tuner pro RT and redownloading it. Close bootloader when trying to connect to tuner pro. Check tunerpro prefrrences. Make sure you click INITALIZE EMULATION HARDWARE, it should pop up after that
.BIN is the tune XDF defines the tune. For example the tables ADX is dataloging HEX is the firmware for the reflex, which u should upload it in bootloader. When u LOAD tunerpro RT it should show BIN XDF ADX. Hope that makes sense.
Great, easy to follow. Even with the shaky cam. Thanks for making this relatively quick, clear and not skipping over any parts
Glad i could help! Thank you for the feedback🙏🏽
Keep posting bro your my main reason to do port injection myself
Glad to hear that brotha! I have more videos coming. Bmp intake manifold, along with upgraded feed line for the hpfp. Any ideas or recommendations?

Do you jsut have to do the bootloader and firmware install once, then you can use tunerpro to flash repeatedly?
Yeah, if u set it up correctly in tunerpro. Everytime you update the firmware YOU MUST reload the bin file to tunerpro

So confused why you need the boot loader?
Simply just to install the firmware. Into the reflex so it programs.
How do you like motivs tune?
It goes really well. Im runing the motiv files, but wedgeperformance is tuning my car. Currently full e85 hitting 25 psi. Car is sure fun to drive !
Why does my file show up as a hex and yours is adf
.BIN is the tune
XDF defines the tune. For example the tables
ADX is dataloging
HEX is the firmware for the reflex, which u should upload it in bootloader.
When u LOAD tunerpro RT
it should show BIN XDF ADX. Hope that makes sense.
