Would love an updated video on the pool! Curious to see how it looks now, what you chose to have re-done and also what you ended up paying for the pool. Generally a small pool like that with the attached spa and step down would run you around $50.000 - $80.000 for a solid professional job, depending on what finish you used, and size of the decking etc.
Lesson #1. Ask your friends for somebody. 2). Get 3 references, and ask them pointed questions 3). Go check their work. The 3 customers pools. As a carpenter, you really helped me here, with hearing about your dissatisfaction. I’m going to tighten things up. Thanks 👍
Thanks for the video. Sorry to hear about your frustrations with your dishonest contractor. These things are very common where I live and it is indeed very frustrating
Been installing above ground pools in ky for 3 years now my business partner and I are wanting to expand to in-ground pools we are trying to get a contract from our local pool company and offer time on in-ground pools to learn and meet the different contractors in the game and hopefully be installing them eventually also so crazy how some of these “contractors” are I just found your channel today and it’s amazing definitely helps out new people in the game thanks man
Mark sorry you are going through this crap . Now a days a lot of folks sub everything out and the lead man sits in the truck then they are all pointing fingers at each others . Wishing the best for you and your family in getting this resolved .
Been doing inground vinyl pools for 7 years, takes myself and another guy 2 weeks max to get it done. From the dig to the pool running and ready to swim. Your situation sucks 😅
I’ve been waiting on some chain link materials to come for a couple customers but has been delayed longer than I expected and I have been communicating with my customers that the order keeps getting delayed and the customers have told me that they really appreciate me communicating the status of the order to them and keeping them updated. I want them to be at peace knowing that I didn’t just take their money and run and will fulfill my end of the deal.
That’s why it’s so difficult for customers to choose the right contractor, you even did due diligence and still got bamboozled. Pretty much 100% of the well known and successful fence companies here operate that way, they come off as if they install a stellar product but in reality couldn’t install a decent fence to save their life…or even worse, they have a crew that does know how and 4 that don’t. And I do mean all of the respected and known fence companies here.
That’s awful mark you guys shouldn’t have to go through that, working hard with new location and finding a contractor who should have done his job correctly. Hope it works out soon for you guys. Karma is real they will get theirs

So many bad apples.

Say what you’ll do and do what you say and you’ll make a killing

This too will pass...

Wow good luck, I feel so bad, fl has so many sketchy companies and people, hope you get to resolve it without loosing your mind
#truth and it makes it hard for us good contractors.

Communication is what will make or break your business. Even a "touch" will relieve your customers.

I know now what I would do differntly.
Hey Mark, We have a great pool guy in our Jacksonville BNI networking group. Let me know if you need another option.
Will do. I think I have it handled as soon as we can get solid breach of contract.
Oh man....this should absolutely get ugly for that contractor. No way I would ever except that craftsmanship or lack thereof.
I won't accept it, but how much will I lose?

It sucks but, it could be worse...I could live in an HOA
Good tips for any contractor!!! Regardless of trade!
