    What if it's a long half-life liquid that spills on a very important notebook like years or decades or centuries or longer

    What if your hands return a high reading of radiation, even under the gloves?

      Gotta be amputated to stop the spread of radiation.
      They have sterile lab guillotines for that, with fast acting local anaesthetic / ketamine infusion for the nervous, and someone on duty is always trained to administer. Don't worry.
      Remember to put the surgically removed waste in the correct half-life bin.
