I love Dennis as a character. I hated the season 6 spin off episodes, but I minded his less than most. Now we need a video about the other main-character-energy reoccurring spy Mike Haggerty!
Hi guys! I need to ask you a favour as an English learner! What does the narrator say at 14.00? "He's just a little shy and a bit ... (??) for not having the dummy around". As much as I try to listen to that piece, I can't grasp what the missing word is. Thank you in advance!
THEY tried to spin off harry why didn't they do that with dennis? or did they try but never got to a series? i always thought of allt he recurring 'friends" who were detectives or such he was the best to do a spin off with including harry. harry didn't have the guest cast like dennis did. just curious. as to the probation office letting someone move across the country, it's not totally impossible. several scenarios (obviously not mentioned in the episode as i recall) that would be allowed. a good job, closer to family, someone a parole officer or cop respects that will help the guy get a new start, and probably many others. in the case of a guy not convicted of a violent crime (a thief with a code of ethics as dennis was) probably could get that easie than say a murder, drug dealer, bank robber, armed robber, etc. since he apparently has a job i assume that was the premise of how he got to move in the story line. that's not really that out of line. most probation officers will work with their probationer on stuff like that, if they can find someone to hand it off to. in this day and time it's probably easier with email, phone, fax, facebook, etc. that it would have been in the 80's but not even totally out of line back then if there was a good reason. and in all dennis's appearances, it never appears like his boss doesn't know about his past, just doesn't care as long as he solves cases.

He was wonderful - i had the honour of meeting him a few years prior to his passing.

Interesting that a spinoff series was never developed, like they did with Harry McGraw.
I liked Dennis, as the Jessica character was getting too "glam" as the seasons progressed.

I don’t remember exactly what I said, but all videos should have closed captioning, as I uploaded the transcript
@@jaetalkstv-34tsr Well, this one doesn't have captions...
Sorry about that, I checked my notes and the line is "a bit codependent on having the dummy around"
@@jaetalkstv-34tsr Thank you very much!😍

I think about this every time a Dennis episode is on!
