    Recently bought it, its cool, i was using similar thing in Keyshot. But there is a lot of flaws in my opinion. It feels like Plugin/Software from 10 years ago, UI is horrible thats the most noticable thing i would say, it looks really crowded and some of the icons are over the top, they could be more minimalistic, therefore more intuitive. Startup layout could also be better arranged so its easier for new users to hope in and see most essential features. Also there is a lot of useless date all over the place. most of this could be under visiblity option, or maybe there is option to do that, i dont know honestly, i didnt checked, just think it should be more clear when its open first time. Just wanted to give my feedback.

      Many thanks for taking the time to provide some feedback about HDR Light Studio.
      The initial UI layout is somewhat crowded, in order to show the features in the panels that are available to you. The UI can be configured to whatever layout and whatever panels you want. This is stored between sessions on a per 3D app basis. So when used with C4D you can have a layout you like, and when used with 3ds Max, you can have another.
      I agree the UI could do with a refresh. But I must say, we have not had any negative feedback like this about it so far. If you would like to give more feedback and any suggestions for example designs you like, feel free to get in touch with support, and we can also talk to you there about it. You can't share images here in youtube comments for example.

      With thousands of happy customers, I am not sure why it would hurt. It works... and saves our customers hours of time to light and render their shots.

    how can i connect it to cinema 4d r19 ?

    • @HDRLightStudio
      @HDRLightStudio  3 года назад

      You would need to use an older plugin from our archive, but it will not have all the new features and use the new faster api. We try to support 3 versions of partner software each time we update... at the moment we go back to 21... so support 4 versions of Cinema 4D. Please contact support with any further questions on how to make it work with R19.

    This doesn't work for me no matter what I try. Thank god for demos. Can't get the plugin to show in C4D r24 no matter what I try.

      You will need to give more details. You say you can't get the plug-in to show in R24. But is the HDR Light Studio Connection panel show, and you have a start button to start HDR Light Studio? And then HDR Light Studio isnt showing? Or is the plugin inside Cinema 4D not showing at all?

      @@HDRLightStudio the plug-in simply doesn’t show in the extension menu. Done all the making sure the folder structure is correct. Attempting multiple times. Button never appears in the extension menu.
      The standalone loads fine

      @@HDRLightStudio Ah thanks, just seen it, I'll reply here so that people aren't put off by my original comment.
      I was originally using S24 as I don't like the new layout, but I didn't realise you could go back to the old one on s25. I installed S25, and attempted to install HDR Light Studio again, and it worked first time.
      I guess whatever it is, it's specific to S24, and perhaps even just my install - maybe a conflict with another plugin, etc..
      Either way, I'm good. I'm using it now, much appreciated.
      I will say, while the UI is kind of janky, as other users have commented, I'm struggling to think of a better way to do it. Lighting is really complex, and the fact that you've managed to distil it down at all is quite remarkable. Very easy software to use, I'll be purchasing as soon as I'm comfortable it can replace my normal workflow.
      Appreciate the help!

      @@JohnGodwin no worries, I'm delighted its working for you now. The interface is totally configurable... so once you know the parts you want, you can save your own layout, and get rid of the UI parts you don't need.
