I find it really great when you don’t always get the lipstick colour right and try different ones until you’re happy. It’s a great way for us (me!) to learn what does and doesn’t work. Please always keep that kind of stuff in your videos. 👍🏻 x
I'm the same Caroline -I struggle with concentration to read a book & feel guilty ... madness, isn't it. Absolutely love your Saturday chatty vids, become a weekly ritual❤❤❤
Morning Caroline. I've got very fair cool toned skin with red undertones and blue veins. Would it be too much to ask you to do a full face of cool toned makeup that's still brightening and awakening, AND if you can do it for hooded eyes that would be a huge bonus. I really struggle to find cool toned makeup, epecially bronzers that will brighten my skin without looking too red, yellow or orange. It's so difficult with my skin tone. Even the Fenty Cheeks Out cream bronzer in Amber is too warm on me, and even most contour colours end up too warm 🤷 The Jones Road rosy bronzer looks nice, but it's a bit out of my price range because of the shipping costs. Also the Gucci fair bronzer looks lovely and cool toned, but again it's over 50 quid wiith delivery . Is there anything out there below £30 that will wake up my very fair cool toned skin and not look red, orange or yellow? I'd be soo grateful 🙏
@@gillianashley1820 Thanks Gillian. There's only one beauty content creator on YT that dedicates her channel to fair cool toned makeup and she's lovely, but she's only about 20. You can get some good tips and product recommendations though. Her name is Lindsey Munette.
Your conversations are definitely like having coffee with girlfriends , nothing fake about you just reality , thank you ✨💕✨ I’ve just subscribed from Queensland Australia.
I love your videos & the conversation. It's exactly like sitting with a girlfriend. I'm American and I ADORE the British accent & expressions. "cheap as chips" 😊 And I've learned so very much! The Dior lip glow is perfect. I may purchase that.
So nice to see someone doing a grey eye look, I think greys get overlooked so often. CT quad The Rock Chick or The Uptown Girl have lovely greys. Thanks for sharing 😊❤️
Good morning😊 just had my bacon butty, got giddy when I saw a grey tutorial. Loved it, thank you so much. Can I put in a request for a 'deep set eyes' tutorial. I put so much effort in but find my shadow/shade/colour completely disappears once my mascara goes on. Thank you as always, you're the best part of my Saturday xxxx
Me and my cat have enjoyed snuggling up and catching up with your video, Caroline. I really like it when even a pro like yourself puts lippy on and says 'oh, no' and proceeds to try on loads more until you get it just right.
Good morning Caroline! Cup of coffee ☕️ and sourdough toast. Sitting on the patio with the puppers. 🐶 I’m always a bit leery of gray eyeshadows. May have to give it a go.
Ooh would love a grey eye tutorial. We see Gary Numan at the end of this month...and I think I know how my makeup is going to go but I could do with some pointers on grey! Thank you!
Hi Caroline, if you love a spy drama, then Slow Horses is an absolutely fantastic series of books. I listened to them as an audio book and didn't take my ear buds out throughout the book. The tv series is amazing as well. Love this look as well ❤
Your conversations are never dull Caroline, love them, they really cheer me up! Im very interested in the sunscreen, i struggle to find one that doesn't irritate my eyes. Thank you x
I've tried so many sunscreens and had so many problems with them making my eyes weep, but now I use Garnier Ambre Solaire factor 50 face fluid. The Anti- Dark Spots & Anti-Pollution Super UV with Hyaluronic. It absorbs quickly into skin, no sticky residue and I can put it all around my eyes without any irritation or watering. It always seems to be on offer in Boots and I just keep going back to it. It plays so well over skincare and under foundation so it's an all round winner for me. They used to do one that said 'sensitive' but seemed to discontinue that. They then did this one which is exactly the same and great around my eyes. It's really important to me that you can put protection around around your eyes as well as the rest of your face! Not sure if that helps at all but might be worth a try.
Loved this Caroline. You were talking about trying to be more gentle on your hair. As hair goes grey things get really complicated if you feel you still want to colour it. Adding a regular base colour and highlights when the greys start showing again after 3 weeks is a bit of a mammoth undertaking! I was wondering how you cope, as your hair always looks so lovely and fresh. ❤
Hi Caroline - proud NZer here, as such, cant resist to point out that Antipodes is an NZ owned and made skincare brand. However agree their products are excellent. ( personally, having an oily skin, I love their Baptise h2o ultra hydrating water gel for summer time) Thanks for another wonderful video! You bring such joy to my lazy Sunday morning ❤
Loved Caroline 🤩 grey eyeshadow always looks too cool on me but the aubergine VB eyeLINER brought a gorgeous warmth to eyes loved the look ha and yes lip colour looked perfect in the end such a great eye you have ❤
I have so many requests but will stick to my most wanted, firstly would love to see the lovely Anna back talking about the power of colour, she helped me so much that I actually bought an interview for my best friend too. Along the same lines I am a soft autumn and would like to see a makeup look for that season as I have looked online and it shows that I should wear warm colours but I think I look better with cooler eyeshadow and lipstick shades
Please do some more variations on grey eyeshadow for day wear please Caroline. I'm really hopeless doing my eyes. I'm 60 in August but wherever I try to do my eyes it just looks a muddy mess rather than a nice blended look like you do. Many thanks xx
So beautiful!! You look stunning. Obsessed with the makeup giving that sun kissed glow and the peach blush is just perfection. Nailed it. Love how the aubergine comes together so well after the mascara comes on. Genius. Watching you go through the lipsticks is like a masterclass so I hope you never stop including those moments in your videos! Also great to see how you use cool toned colors even with your warmth. So interesting to me how sometimes countering with the opposite makes more sense (like when you use foundation with more yellow than red). Would you mind walking us through how you remove your makeup one day?
Good morning Caroline! Really pleased you’re doing grey eyeshadow. I’ve just ordered the Lisa Eldridge Vega palette, which has a few grey shades. I love the pop of aubergine, definitely going to try that! Have a lovely weekend ❤xx
You are so funny Caroline. That in itself makes the vlogs so good to watch. The eye makeup looks terrific. I must use my Dior palette ( autumn shades) and try and have a go copying your techniques. Happy bank holiday weekend. Xxx
The aubergine with the grey is genius! Thank you for showing that. I do like grey, but tend to shy away from it because it looks quite stark on my pale skin. I'd never thought to try it with a contrast colour to add warmth and depth. x
I love grays and pink/peachy together, such a lovely summer combination. When it came to the lipstick I kept saying no,no,no until you reached the Dior (which I have now purchased😁), it is perfect for the look. Until you finally decided on it I was saying use the Beckham blusher (which I have now purchased 😍). Honestly Caroline, you cost me a fortune😂. As for books…. They are very subjective. However, I can highly recommend The Secret History by Donna Tartt if you like a mystery. For escapism try Circe by Madeline Miller.
Morning. Love watching your videos and yes I was in my cosy robe in bed with a cuppa tea. No bacon sandwich 🤣. Definitely going to check out that moisturiser and the aubergine liner. Thanks and enjoy the Bank Holiday weekend. Finally a bit of sun. 😎😘😘
I loved the aubergine eye liner alongside the grey shadow it made it look modern and current. Always lovely to watch your videos and yes I watch them over in Australia on a Sunday morning in bed with a cup of tea. 😊
Hello Caroline, this is such a delicate and elegant make-up ! These colours suit you so well ! Thank you for the idea of using an aubergine eye-Pencil too . Have a lovely week-end 🌸
Hi Caroline, Wonderful to see you! Always makes my Saturday so much better to see your videos! I enjoy the makeup , and tips. I too need to get back into reading . I feel my mind is too busy. And it does help me so much to read! You look lovely & the top you have on is so pretty! Wishing your mom the best with her eyebrows. She is a joy! A beautiful lady too. And I do love a natural look. And wedding makeup as well. Have a lovely day!
Caroline your just like having a conversation with a friend. I'm in the US and low & behold I wake between 4:00 & 5:00am and reach for my tablet to see if you've put out a video. Love the gray eye shadow with the aubergine & like you blush is a staple. I'm ghostly pale, but don't enjoy fake tan, but do want some color. So I've switched to serum type tints a bit darker that just melt into the skin. Would love to see a Summer shadow look that make blue eyes pop!
Hi Caroline! I absolutely loved this video and how you brought it all together. I think sometimes we get a little intimidated by makeup and seeing a professional makeup artist admit to mistakes like this gives us more confidence to try, knowing that its ok to make a mistake and that its easily corrected. The hunt for the right lipstick is real! Ive done it many times and gotten so frustrated trying to find the right shade and texture! A while ago I bought the Natasha Denona Xenon mini palette. While the colours are somewhat similar to the shadows you used today, would you be able to show how to get the best out of the Natasha Denona palette as every time I try to use it I end up looking like Ive been punched in the eye!! Have a great week ahead. xx
As a middle child of 3 squished between 2 boys, I made the conscious decision to stop at 2. We’re all different but for me, middle child syndrome was real - never quite felt I fitted in the family. Love the grey - I’m cool toned with green eyes so favour cool tones and wear a lot of grey and my favourite colour is wine/aubergine tones but difficult to wear as an eyeshadow without looking like you have an infection 😂
OMG! that was a complete surpirse - grey eye shadow - thank you so much Caroline 🥰 Looks really great, all the make up. I particulary liked the whole face make up - your skin looks so nice and healthy! If I can request mat eye shadow make up please :) or do you sometimes use only eye creaon without any eye shadow? I do it sometimes if I am in a hurry 😀Anyway thank you so much, hope the sun is coming to UK soon🌞have a lovely week and see you 🌻

Love your chatty happy videos - and I learns so much from you, thank you! ❤️ By the way, Lancaster does great SPF and Chanel has a new matt light grey single eyeshadow. Have a lovely time!
Vita Liberata Beauty Blur (and Body Blur) is the best! I always say it's what I wanted CT Flawless Filter to be because there is more tint and less shimmer. I wear the lightest shade in autumn and winter and the shade above in spring and summer. Glorious worn alone or under a more substantial base!
Love the grey eyeshadow look, something I've never really tried but definitely going to now. Had a similar reaction with a lil product and castor oil before bed saved mine!
Loved the grey , would love an everyday quick eye that wouldn't make me look like i have 2 black eyes. There are so many shades of grey and i have small hooded eyes its tricky . Loved the video. ❤❤
Good morning Caroline!! Loved this video and the struggle is real as to what lippy to pair with a beautiful grey eye shadow, I probably would have made the mistake of going with a plum lippy, thank you!! Xx❤
Very beautiful, Caroline! I do love seeing the process, its so helpful and worth the time to get it right. If you have time, I'd love some suggestions for makeup that looks natural outside, when you're at dinner on a patio or a summer party? Thanks so much for all you do
Love your look this week. I was struggling with dry lips and peri oral dermatitis and think it was toothpaste with SLS in and some Dior lip products. Stopped using both and it resolved. Reintroduced them both at different times and it reoccurred x
I'm the eldest sibling, I hope my sister appreciates the things I endured breaking my parents in for her. Have taken a cup of tea and chocolate into the bedroom to watch this afternoon as the family have interrupted every time I've tried to watch this morning. Love the grey tutorial, thank you Caroline.x
Oh hooray, grey eyeshadow, thank you so much - although I've spent ages/months trying to find a dark blue-grey one as anything brown makes me look ill!
I find so difficult to do colour eye shadow this days. You were right that the colour lips looked not right. On the other hand you would have looked like Tippi Hendri in The Birds. What is not a bad look at all… to be current? Or personal choice? Love ❤️ your channel Caroline
Here’s a book recommendation for you - “Lucy by the Sea” by Elizabeth Strout. I also love the Vita Liberata products!! The one for the body is amazing too….
Loved this! Many moons ago you recommended the IT ombré bronzer in a video. My gosh I loved that one. Now discontinued 😭 If you feel up to it, please could you cover “glowy bronzers” in a coming video perhaps? I need a new one 🤗

Hi Caroline, I would love it if before you chuck out the Smudging Mascaras you could do a film on them. I ask because I am often disappointed when I have bought a new mascara and it smudges on its first wear. Maybe you already have a film on this subject, if you could direct me to it I would really appreciate it, thanks so much ❤
Love this look so much. Wish I could pull it off but any eyeshadow I use just accentuates the dark circles under my eyes. No amount of concealer seems to cover. Any tips on eye shadow and dark circles would be great. I learn so much from your channel🥰

I find so difficult to do colour eye shadow this days. You were right that the colour lips looked not right. On the other hand you would have looked like Tippi Hendri in The Birds. What is not a bad look at all… to be current? Or personal choice? Love ❤️ your channel Caroline
Morning Caroline…lovely video ❤
Here’s a book recommendation for you - “Lucy by the Sea” by Elizabeth Strout. I also love the Vita Liberata products!! The one for the body is amazing too….
hello Caroline, greetings from Sydney!
'Demon Copperhead' is one book that is a true page turner.
Loved this!
Many moons ago you recommended the IT ombré bronzer in a video. My gosh I loved that one. Now discontinued 😭 If you feel up to it, please could you cover “glowy bronzers” in a coming video perhaps? I need a new one 🤗
Yes agreed that was a lush one!
Loved this chatty video.
Vieve’s The Ninetease eyeshadow palette would work well too
Yes! Great minds think alike! I added that palette in my comment! 😄
@@janfromseattle I love VIEVE! One of my two favorite brands now (the other being Lisa Eldridge)
I’m hoping that Vieve catches on fire here in the states. I only found out about Vieve from an influencer/mua here by Nikki La Rose and she did a whole face of Vieve and I almost fell off my chair! Yes, Lisa Eldridge can do no wrong! I love her aesthetic!

@@janfromseattle I was fortunate enough to meet Jamie Genevieve last January. She was just as she appears on insta and youtube. Beyond nice and interested in how we shop here in NYC etc. I am hoping both she and Lisa expand their retail presence in the US. That said, its easy enough to order online and they both have loyalty programs
I needed this gal-pal-like chat.
Thank you Caroline. Antipodes is sold at our local Priceline (my Boots the Chemist substitute but not a patch😉). I'll be giving it a whirl.
This was brilliant! I do want all those products now but I’ll control myself 😅 good on you for walking 10 miles a day! Or was it 10 kms? Anyway they’re both a great effort!
Book recommendations:
Untamed, by Glennon Doyle
Five People you Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom
An Elephant in my Kitchen by Francoise Malley-Anthony
The Invention of Wings by Sue Monk Kidd
I LOVE reading xx
Greetings from Sydney. Yes, we usually go for SPF 50
Coleene Hoover - it ends with us.
Now that is a page turner Caroline. I have a kindle and read last thing at night in bed so I get half an hour total quiet time to read. X
