And that is the scary part. Now Trev is graduating so I expect him to go pro. I wish that Ivy would stick around and graduate too. But he is so good that the Pro is already knocking on his door and throwing the money around. The only hope is for his mom to talk him into staying and getting a degree. Remember what happened to Carson Edwards. He's playing in the G league and could be going with Ivy and Edy and the rest for a national title this year if he had stayed at Purdue instead of going to Boston. He didn't play much at the Pro level.

Now or never for Purdue. They're in full command of this region and a major reason why the Big 10 hasn't been an absolute failure so far outside of Michigan. If they can play this type of defense down the road and have Stefanovic find his shot, I have no doubts they have what it takes to make it even further

Texas doesn't have the size to compete with Purdue down low. They kept grabbing and hacking us all game. There were several intentional fouls down the stretch when Texas was trying to get back in it. Texas kept hitting our shooting arms on the shot those are always easy calls and bad mistakes from the Longhorns. If anything, they missed a lot of calls on Texas

And I'm really tired of no Final Fours, no runner-up champs or champs.
I was a kid watching basketball during the Big Dog days, but not a Purdue fan yet. Didn't become a Purdue fan until I was accepted to attend. But even in this time, we've had several teams that I felt had the potential to be Final Four teams and have come up short, and/or been unlucky with injuries (Hummel, Haas). Really hoping we can finally make it happen this year. And not just make it, but win it all. It would be an amazing thing for a school that's never included in the national conversation.

Texas' game plan backfired and they just have to deal with that. They foul a lot anyway with how aggressive they play defense. I thought the officiating was pretty fair. They could have got called for more fouls actually.

when u have a dude that’s 7’4 and the most athletic slashing guard in the country, you’re going to draw fouls. most teams don’t have a matchup for this, so expect to see a lot more free throws from purdue.
In short, Texas cannot stop Purdue's bigs at all. They had to foul to prevent them from scoring. If the refs called every Texas foul, Purdue could've shot 60 FTs.

Edey was fouled a bunch and a lot of free throws came at the end of the game when teams foul even though they will lose. Refs weren’t perfect but Purdue definitely deserved many of the free throws
Im not sure why they went to that replay with 115 left. I mean it was 40 fta to 11 fta at the time. They already knew they were giving purdue the ball. when u have a dude that’s 7’4 and the most athletic slashing guard in the country, you’re going to draw fouls. most teams don’t have a matchup for this, so expect to see a lot more free throws from purdue.

Edey was fouled a bunch and a lot of free throws came at the end of the game when teams foul even though they will lose. Refs weren’t perfect but Purdue definitely deserved many of the free throws
