You can definitely tell the difference between Andy's guitar work and the replacements. He is far superior and I miss him in the band. What a great show with the original line-up!
The first time I seen Duran Duran Live was 1983 on my 17th birthday I cannot believe 27 years have gone by since then... next was when they supported Robbie Williams live in 2005 in Melbourne Australia the only reason I went was to see them perform then 2008 still the best band for me of all time. So much better when they all work together so good to see Andy back. This was probably one of their biggest hits but not one of their best for me. Duran Duran Rocks!! Simon Le Bon Still Has It!!
This live disc laid to rest any doubt DD was, and is, one of the best bands out there. Coming from a metalhead raised on Kix, Lynch Mob, Dokken, J Priest, Queensryche, Bulletboys, Type O and every other great metal group in the 80's and early 90's. If we had known how much DD rocked back then, we would have followed all the girls wearing 2 cans of hairspray and miniskirts screaming their heads off to see them live. Probably wouldn't have put on hairspray or a miniskirt, but we might have screamed our heads off with em.
They never should have let Roger go but he was a wreck and a complete and total recluse who hadn't been since 1986. He and John are the absolute heart of Duran Duran. DD never was the same without John's thumping baselines and Roger's rhythmic drum beats.
@chickenman071 Yes it is! The original line up is...... Simon Lebon: Lead Vocals John Taylor: Bass and Vocals Andy Taylor: Lead guitar and Vocals Roger Taylor: Drums and Percussion Nick Rhodes: Keyboards, Synthasizers, and Vocals
@tsrla My favorite unsung drummers are Floyd Sneed of Three Dog Night (listen closely to their songs - there isn't any overdubbing going on - that's all one guy in one pass!), and Frank Beard of ZZ Top. But the absolute best drummer I've ever heard live is the incredible Scotty "Chernobyl" Churilla, with the Reverend Horton Heat. Powerful and subtle all at the same time...
torilee27 2004. Yes this is the original line up of the band Simon Le Bon: Lead vocals John Taylor: Bass and vocals Andy Taylor: Guitar and vocals Roger Taylor: Drums and percussions Nick Rhodes: Keyboards, synthesizers, and vocals
Andy brings more energy to the live shows. Bring him back!
このグループではやはりこの曲が最も好きです。
I'm glad that Andy and Roger decided to reunite with the band. :)
Everyone's energy is just amazing here.
You can definitely tell the difference between Andy's guitar work and the replacements. He is far superior and I miss him in the band. What a great show with the original line-up!
You’re right! I saw the US leg of this tour in Detroit. So…so…well words fail me. ❤️❤️❤️
I miss Andy. You’re right about his talent.
this a definition of what a good live band is
Simonnnn que precioso luce👌👌👌💋💋😘😘❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
This is the best sounding version of this live that I've heard so far. Guitar sounds and vox harmonies sound so great.

Andy brought the rock to their music. John brought the Funk and soul. But I'll always say Simon is one of the best vocalists from the 80's.
holy shit that IS Andy Taylor!!!
Of course it is. Who else has that type of energy?
80s cool. 2024 needs this smooth fun cool & it will b ❤ sun shines on the cool 24/7. 😎 ❤
2:19 :-) Roger you're gorgeous, and I love your drumming style!

It was the last tour he took it out on. All 3 of his are now safely stored in his studio
THIS is pop!
Wouldn't call it pop...Because is much better. It's new wave post punk
woooohoo the song that started it all! 6th grade! I had no idea what this song was about then! Now I do! :D (lol)
So tight live. None of them lost anything with age. Just wish the base was a little louder.
Duran Duran señores música buena 👍🇻🇪
This song is pure sexuality. Classic
Duran Duran just arn't the same without Andy Taylor

@chickenman071 Yes it is! The original line up is......

in the Live from London footage ive watched so far...i notice that Le Bon doestn interact with Andy Taylor very much. Anyone else see that?
@hoopster122 John Fucking Taylor is a legend! Dammit!
@tsrla My favorite unsung drummers are Floyd Sneed of Three Dog Night (listen closely to their songs - there isn't any overdubbing going on - that's all one guy in one pass!), and Frank Beard of ZZ Top. I think this is a phenominal performance of this song but I don't understand why it is that Andy and Simon weren't interacting more on stage?
