If you hear closely, he actually starts learning the drum patterns while he's playing, wow, truly a grand drummer. And I feel like he liked the song's instrumental, a.k.a, well, Snow Halation lol
thats how improv works, you make shit up as you go; if you've heard enough songs, its easy to make up patterns on the fly though, drums are much easier to do this with than say, piano, because you don't have to worry about notes or pitches, you just worry about the rhythm and the time signature, which is all just math
