i also feel that myung seok's ex-wife telling Young Woo that she felt lonely being married to Myung Seok also reallllllllllllly impacted Young Woo and made her realise that she definitely made Jun Ho lonely many times and that if she really loves Jun Ho, she should think of his happiness

That is what planted that seed in youngwoos mind and it grew there, watered then by what lee ju's sister said... until she knew her heart couldn't bear the idea that it might would apply to herself and lee jun. She didn't want to be the cause for him being lonely.

Despite she is an autistic person, she’s able to understand that she’s different; capable of many things, smart, disciplined but struggling with feelings like love between a man and a woman. She’s also able to sacrifice her feelings for not hurting Jun-ho. Beautiful serie!

@@miclo1558 He definitely has some thinking to do. I feel like he finally realizes just how hard loving her is and that there are real obstacles. I think a lot of people missed the depth of this scene. She finally was able to verbalize what she felt and he finally listened and let the words sink in. I don't think he feels lonely with her, but she may have highlighted something he didn't think about.

The fact that junho is still waiting by her house until she gets home just shows how much he truly can’t be without her. He literally ate lunch with all the rest of the office girls and to him it’s just not enough. That in its own should be a sign of how much he truly loves her. But also, he needs to acknowledge that she loves him so much she’s sacrificing her own happiness for him to not feel alone. She knows how much she will care about herself/ her career, and how he might feel as if she cares more about it than him. But she’s always poured her heart out to him, and that’s what she doesn’t realize. She was the one who expressed her feelings first, and that in its own shows that she is capable of truly loving and giving love.
I think he knows that, but he always has trouble finding the right words to say to her being so honest. It’s like he almost catches his breath at how honest and vulnerable she becomes without even having to try.
And the fact that she would think she isn’t capable of being socially aware is why you just want to cry with her. Because she already is completely socially aware but in different way that still makes complete sense.

Nailed it. As a currently unpublished author myself, I know first hand that it's tough to write good emotional conflict without resorting to cheap things like a really dumb misunderstanding. That's one of a million reasons that I applaud this show. Among its many, MANY strengths, its writing is one of the most stellar and outstanding aspects of the show. Everything feels realistic and while the romance scenes tend to lean SLIGHTLY into the cheese, it makes sense given the slightly more childlike mindset that people with ASD sometimes have.
Just a phenomenal show any way you look at it. It has been so long since I've found a live action drama that reached this level of perfection, especially among shows that aren't full of action.

I feel like this scene demonstrates both of their growth and what they've learned from one another. Lee Jun-ho has become very direct and straightforward about his feelings for Woo Young Woo. He used to be very polite, friendly and wary to express himself honestly, but he's learned to be more direct because of her.
Woo Young Woo on the other hand has learned to be more considerate of how others are feeling, which she has learned from him.
Also to break up with your partner because you're afraid to make them lonely has to be at the same time the most beautiful and the most heartbreaking reason to break up with somebody. 😢
I just want them to get back together. They are each other's happiness and it hurts seeing the both of them hurting even though they didn't do anything except love each other 😭
@@OfficialCityStand nope. They said they plan to keep all the actors as long as their schedules match and they're planning to produce season 2 in 2024 same year which KTO will finally be released from military service.
Also they will only disappoint a lot of fans if they will pair Youngwoo and Jung Myeongseok and leave Junho out of the picture. I doubt they'll let that happen. Myeongseok and Youngwoo have a good relationship as MentorxProtege and I love that but I can't really see the possibility of them having a romantic relationship in the future base on how the story was written.

She is not only thinking of herself .. she cares more of Jun Ho. Another heart pricking scene. My heart melts for both of them. Great acting.. Park Eun Bin and Kang Tae Oh. I feel their pain thru their eyes.

Wow...her level of self awareness blows my mind...she is thinking "only" and "only about him".
I like that he finally found the reason and the miscommunication didn't carry on. Woo young's reasoning is realistic, cause if he wants to go further in their relationship he has to understand the difficulties that come along with being someone who's a little different. He has to be extra understanding, empathetic, patient and compassionate than with a normal person.
First off, are we not talking about how she was already sad when he first said her name and she answered "yes?" You could hear it in her voice. Second, another testament to Junho being our green flag man is when she asked him if he's ever felt lonely, and instead of trying to argue about it, even though he had just told her he had to be with her to be happy, he didn't answer because he knew she was right. Plus, I always love how he seems too stunned to speak whenever she tells him her feelings. It's lovely. Their acting was superb in every episode!!
At least she broke up with him for a good reason because its understandable why she did it unlike other dramas I've seen where couples break up for the dumbest reason ever

She's such a pure, beautiful, selfless soul.... This scene broke my heart and had me crying... Our Youngwoo can't see that she's already such a gift just by being herself and that she makes Junho so happy. Her world is made up of only her, but he's become such a big part of it that she selflessly wants to sacrifice her happiness and feelings for the sake of his.
The ball is in his court now. He can't deny that he feels lonely sometimes, and he had already shown that he thinks deeply and a lot when it comes to his relationship with Youngwoo. But you can tell her sincere love for him, and that the depth of consideration and thinking about him touched him deeply. All her reasons were purely about him, nothing selfish like he was thinking.
Being the people pleaser and popular person he is, he is probably used to people acting for selfish reasons or hiding behind social niceties and pleasantries to appear a certain way. He has a lovely soul too, so it's no wonder he was drawn to her. The honesty, pureness, and sincerity that Youngwoo offers is like a breath of fresh air, the kindred soul he probably didn't realize he needed until she appeared. If anything, he is probably deeper in love after this conversation, he just needs to decide how to move forward.
I just hope they give us their happy ending, or at least enough to go into Season 2 feeling satisfied and looking forward to the continuation of their relationship.

There's a lot of room for season 2. So happy that they decided to make it on 2024 so atleast JH can still be a part of the cast after his service. We might see Tae Su Mi's husband, and JH's parents. Also looking forward to JH and YW's father meet up. I hope they get married in the end with her finally giving her father the bouquet and hopefully her father meets someone too. I hope more interaction between the siblings, at this point JH still doesn't know that Tae Su Mo is YW's mother.

I don't think she's self-centered. Besides this, caring enough about someone's happiness to the point of sacrificing her own happiness, that's the very definition of selflessness. And the fact that she went all the way to the hospital to see Attorney Jung before his surgery also speaks volumes. She cares and loves for the people around her. As an autistic person she probably has difficulty comprehending social cues, or what society deems acceptable in comforting people. But in all the other ways that matter, she shows she cares. The first person who told her that she makes them feel lonely sometimes is her father. But look at that, when the time came, she told Tae su mi that she cannot go to Taesan because of her father. She didn't want to leave her father or betray him even though she has longed for so long for her mother.
In all fairness, I hope Junho realizes this too: Young-woo is the perfect person to love for a selfless person. To truly love someone sometimes means that you don't expect anything in return. People love these days because they don't want to be alone. There's a part of them that they want to be filled. Maybe loving Young-woo is much like loving a cat or a dog. They can't really understand you and you always take care of them, but you can feel that they love you and are loyal to you.
EDIT: I'm sorry I don't mean that ASD people are like pets. They are not!! I just mean that there are different kinds of love and the love we have for our pets is an example of that selfless kind of love.

This was very brave of her and shows that she truly cares about him alot. The fact that she now expresse's her feelings openly and honestly is very brave and shows how far she's come. What makes this part even more beautiful is the fact that they got back together in the end just needed space to think things through first❤❤❤❤❤❤

I know in reality that's so much more than just love needed for a relationship to last long. But, love will make you fight for everything that is needed, and that's more than enough. In reality, relationships like theirs are probably rare and not last long. But I don't want reality, I want their happy ending.

I am so glad this scene happened, youngwoo have explained it dearly, she is in fact telling the facts, she is not focusing on the fairytale-like happy statement coz she knows that it is not always like that. The part when junho expressed his struggles in dating her while cleaning up garbage, protesting for whales and dolphins protection, he was upset, youngwoo perceived it as her being a burden coz she thought that was a mutual happy bond.
They way he stunned means somehow, someway... sometimes he is lonely too. And she is telling the truth. Her father admitted it too that having her in his life is quite a lonely journey.
But both are growing. To accept & learn to communicate. She wait for him in the morning & she wish him not to feel lonely means her thoughts not only centered to herself.
But so many are supporting in this relationship. So ship will continue to sail ♡♡♡
This is sad but this is also a good sign for JH to pursue YW even more. The fact that YW said that she tend to focus only on her thoughts about herself is a testimony that JH is already a big part of her world since she's been already thinking about his happiness. JH must assure YW that she really is the reason for his smile. I hope they'll realize how great their love is and will help them conquer the challenges they'll face.

I have autism and ADHD and other health issues and I really connected with her when she said that bc that's how I feel I don't want to be a burden on my partner bc they have to help me all the time so this part I cried like a baby.

Kudos to the writer. It breaks my heart, but It's a fact that it will take a lot of sacrifice on the other person's side to make this kind of relationship work. I admire her for being selfless. He likes him so much she is willing to sacrifice her happiness for him. Being just a Kdrama and make-believe, I wish their story to end as a happy one!

What an incredible performance by this talented actress. It is a long time since I enjoyed a series this much. A truly excellent cast and writer's.
This right here shows just how much she loves JH. The fact that she was able to express her feelings to him also shoes she has grown to learn how to tell people what she is feeling. She loves him that much that she is willing to let him go so he can be happy and not feel lonely, I get why LH didn’t give her an answer, it was a wake up call that there might be times that he will feel lonely because of her autism, and I’m sure he noticed but because he was happy with her he didn’t mind, but seeing WYW talking about it for sure made him think about everything. So, it’s really going to be up to LH is he think is worth having a relationship with WYW and make it or let her go. 🥺
The way Junho loves our Woo Young makes me feel all sorts of ways. He really gives you butterflies. Everyone needs a Junho.

This is one of the most realistic Korean movie I have ever watched where it's not all rainbow and sunshine. Their love is hard and it is good it's acknowledged but even love between normal people is not perfect. We all just need to work on ourselves as people. I think these two are perfect for each other and I can't wait to watch the finale.

Junho is a very caring and thoughtful person. Just like he took his time with coming to terms with what it means to be with young woo, he’ll do the same with what she said to him. His feelings haven’t changed but hearing what she said did give him pause and that’s okay. Also, the fact that young woo was so cognizant of his feelings shows so much promise 💙💙
Woo young woo is spitting facts about herself. However if Jun Ho is emotionally balanced and aware of the nuances of dating her, this is conversation they should have together. Regarding his willingness and ability to manage and her fears and concerns regarding his needs. Everybody deserves love,respect,consideration and conversation. Talk to your loved ones today! ❤

Tissues please, the bestest k-drama ever produced. Park eun bin deserves an award for every episode. Such realistic acting that got us lined up and hooked. The entire cast is fantabulous.
Caring for the person you love is being selfless. It's hard to make a decision when you know it can hurt the two of you. And by doing so, it'll make you both grow individually by understanding what should and not should be done. YoungWoo, is so brave by thinking about Jun-ho's happiness first even when she's in pain. 😢💕
