My most fav George moment is when he tries to comfort billy after Missy's rejection, giving father's guide to a child who has lost touch with father is very precious❤❤
George was such an amazing father.. he was such a great portrayal of a middle class hardworking dad who sacrifices everything fr his family and kids..Dad's like tht don't get enough credit.. he'll forever be my favourite TV dad❤
One thing that was answered brilliantly on Young Sheldon, was why Sheldon hates change so much. Because the first biggest, most profound change that happened in his life was deeply traumatic: his father's death. Which changed everything for the family, not just economically. So change, is still a trauma for Sheldon, even in his adulthood. It's really amazing how good these two shows are now connected to each other, and fit together, regarding Sheldon's life, and he is the main character on TBBT, let's be honest. The finale of Young Sheldon was absolutely brilliant, great writing, and it portrayed brilliantly Sheldon's grief. If anything, his grief was the most heartbreaking! He is an unusual kid who always had trouble expressing his emotions, he always felt like an alien among people, even his own family doesn't understand him, or his emotions, like Missy in the post-death scene. Georgie never understood Sheldon either, but of course, this scene also brilliantly reminds us, that this is why we should never judge people by the surface: because the most important things, emotions that define us, happen inside, and we never know what the other person goes through. The scene when Sheldon is first replaying in his mind, the iconic goodbye between Spock and Kirk, and then the alternate realities where he is saying goodbye to his dad in different ways in each of them, was gutwrenching! It's so relatable to all of us, and yet so different at the same time. We all, at least once in our lives were at this point when we just wanted a second chance to talk to or see a loved one we lost, just for a second. And yet we can't have that chance again. But Sheldon was so alone in all of this: in grief, and with himself. And even while being so misunderstood, Sheldon still, constantly, makes an effort to care about others, even if these attempts fail or other people don't see it. Deep down, Sheldon has an enormous heart, he just can't express himself in a typical way. It was heartbreaking to watch this scene. At the same time, Sheldon's unique, logical & scientific imagination, brings him atypical, original fantasies; in his mind, maybe one day in the future it would be possible to bring his dad back, in some parallel worlds? He so desperately wanted to get another chance to see his dad, fix their misunderstandings, and just see his dad still alive and well! I cried like hell. Here is the boy who was always misunderstood and who doesn't understand himself, saying "I love you' to his dead father in countless different ways. Because this is what it is - each of this version of goodbye, is really Sheldon saying 'I love you' to his dad! Brilliant, brilliant episode and ending!
Mary’s raw feelings at the funeral were just so real. What many of us feel after losing a loved one. George was everything to Mary, if we ever had any doubt. RIP George Cooper ❤️😇
I know it's only TV blah blah blah. But the way this character was portrayed was perfect. Dads are imperfect, but they try. George tried where he could and was still the dad & husband his family needed. For a comedy to carry out such a serious and sad aspect of the series so good and thought provoking... Well Done!
This man got a family he didnt want, a job he didnt want, a wife who went religious, a kid thats a scientific prodegy and somehow managed to still be a good man. Hell of a character and one hell of an actor.
It's just a show. But the Dad is just like a lot of real Dads. He isn't perfect, but he tries. At the end of it all, he tried his best. Tried to provide for his family, to take care of them, to support them, even when he didn't have all the answers. Bless all the real Mothers, Fathers, and Stepparents doing this same job everyday
I love how contrary to Sheldon’s portrayal of him in bbt George was flawed, but a good man, a good father, and did his best for his family, even when they took him for granted, Sheldon and Mary especially. He was one of the best sitcoms fathers ever
The finest sitcom ever written and acted. I loved each line, actor, problem, wisecrack, personality. I will miss you George Cooper, and your family. And young Sheldon, your father’s love didn’t end just because he was gone.
Wasnt the smartest dad, nor the wisest, sharpest, healthiest, or richest but he was always there for everyone. All while juggling low income, a religious wife, rebellious teens, a brainiac son, resentful mother in law and the stresses of life. He never made it there problem, shouldered the responsibility as best he could and loved his family with a smile on his face.
It's that convincing way any son would want to hear "I love you too son" that makes it so fuckin hard to hear and yet everything you want it to be in a loving father.
From what I've learned and seen in my life and throughout this show is that. Being a father is sacrificing a lot for your family and friends. Someone once said, "Love is sacrifice, " and being a father is hard really hard, and it doesnt take much to learn that if you have a father that is trying to be decent and a good man you have the Ultimate Gift.
George Cooper Sr. did his best for his family. It's so sad how most of the time no one cared how he felt. One of the episodes I really felt bad for him was that one he gets an opportunity job in Oklahoma and, despite being a dream job for him, he gave up for his family's hapiness. He always puts his family's hapiness above his own. He was always there to support his children when they needed him. Truly an amazing father!!! So sad he is gone...
I keep coming back to this. It makes me cry and knowing that when my parents both pass, I will go mentally insane due to the grief. I don't want to say goodbye to them and I am afraid of the day it comes. they are both alive right now but they are in their mid 60s and I am afraid of the future that awaits. I don't want to say goodbye to them and I don't want to do any of what they had to do in the show.
This makes me incredibly sad, I have a very close relationship with my father. He is the only parent I’ve had all my life and I pray to God every day I get more time with him. Don’t take them for granted
What make me sad about this video the best the heroic and tribute song to George Cooper. Is that adult Sheldon when he look and revisits his with he memoir. And at the of Amy and Sheldon conversation he said on the last episode" Looking back That was the Ultimate Gift. George, and his family that supported him. was the Ultimate gift indeed.
I remember when George tried to smile like Sheldon in the episode I literally screamed 😂One of my fav parts in the whole series. Going to really miss it!
Not gonna lie, at this point George is a comfort character, I bawled when he died. One of the best written dads of sitcom/TV shows. Not a lot of them are written like him in my opinion
This is like losing Jonathan Kent from Smallville all over again. They were both the dads we all wanted in two prequel shows where they made their sons into the men that they would eventually become.
My Most Favorite moment with George will always be the part where he accompanies his middle child, Sheldon to his first trip to California and held his hand🤝 to comfort him as the plane took off🛫😭😭😭
The video is like 5 minutes long and well personally I can dig into how the scene where they say he's dead is at 2:50 seconds, which could be dug into more by saying that this helps back up that George had basically only lived half his life until his death.
Tried to watch the last season with my mom when it was airing, but got called in for work out of town. Just finished the last few episodes yesterday, by far one of the most impactful shows I’ve ever watched. I remember when my dad passed at 15, it was like déjà vu. I can’t tell you how many times I thought and still think about those last moments with my dad before he left out the door to go to work (teacher as well) wish I coulda stopped him or told him he was my world. Love ya forever dad
Saying “Love you” to our loved ones in their last moments is a gift… I was right beside my mom in her last moments, and Said “I love you” … she left the world looking into my eyes .. I can never forget her last looks in my life
I had to stop the video halfway because i couldn't go through that again. Never thought I'd get so worked up over a fictional character like this. I torn between how i feel about the show. i love that it made such loveable characters, but I hate it for making us experience such heart-wrenching moments.
My father left when I was five, so it always hits where it hurts when I see father figures like that. Deep down, it’s what every wants because every guy wants to be that figure to his child.
I will always miss George, he was a great dad…… 😢….. so sad that this show ended. Tears ran down my face, knowing at the same time that I too will face such a stage of life, a loss of a loved one. I don't know how I will react, but I pray that the Good God will give me strength to be able to overcome such a stage.
My dad is like George sure he can be grumpy and crass and has a dark and dirty humour and even just rough to get to know or be around for some but he’ll do anything to help you, support you or even be there when you need someone around…I know the internet never forgets and I haven’t always been the best kid to you dad and you took me on even though you didn’t have to I just want to say I love you and even if you never see this I know someone like you will and will know that even though I’m not the best I still care…even if I don’t directly show it thanks for taking me in “Why punish the child for the fathers mistakes don’t let him suffer for another”-Charles Douglas
I can't believe he really died he was my favorite character and he reminded me of my step dad and when he passed away I miss my step dad a lot. I love and I always will Jimbo and ill see soon

One of the best sitcom dad's.
*the best sitcom dad
its was the best and nothing will ever beat it!
Julius and george are the best
Uncle Phil is one todo from that old Will Smith sitcom forgot the name
*The best
He had flaws, like everyone does, but he did his best. He was a good man. He will be missed.
Everyone had flaws but he did his best for a working class man, he will be remembered for one of the best dad's on tv

this actor did such a GREAT job of portraying a typical Suburban TX dad...many are like George. It hurts to watch this....memories pop up!
Lance did a incredible job at portraying George Cooper really well picked actor
“I love you too son” that made me cry😢
Sheldon’s biggest regret
Georgie: Don't worry Dad I've got this.
❤
Love that quote
And he indeed got it.
The best part is, if George could have responded, I'm sure he would have answered, "I know you do, Son.~"
Georgie: You don't need to worry I got everything under control. Georgie's last words he said to his father at the funeral.
“Maybe he wasn’t the perfect dad, but maybe we weren’t the perfect children”~Sheldon
George is a flawed man, but he’s real, and really trying his best to be for his family.
He was a good man!
Its the face Mary pulls after 'hes gone, Mary'. Perfectly acted.
I fully agree!
Mary finally realized she f’d up bad and lost her chance and treating her husband right
The transition between the hospital and the door opening... are you trying to make me cry?
I might of been aha

No matter how many times I see an edit of George dying, I will always cry. He deserved so much more and was one of the worlds greatest dads.
He was incredible!
35y old grown man here... I'm in tears, thx for that.
Aha glad you enjoyed!

When she said, she wishes she did better whilst he was still around, that hit hard.😢
"So I won't see this man again" that was the only thought that brought me to tears when I lost my Pops.
Great editing.
Man, this hits very hard. When I lost my grandad I thought the same. I thought to myself so I won't see him ever again!
A great and deep inspiration portrayed on this character.
