I had multiple safety cars so far but today (29.8.17) was the first time this happened so I guess it was introduced with todays patch. Please Codies fix it ASAP!!
I was on 2nd place when safety car came in. The game told me to slow down and to stay at delta pace, and then suddenly it gave me 25 seconds to catch the queue which was impossible because I was so far behind... I got 15sec time penalty for falling too far behind. Safety cars = nothing but bugs.
A few days ago this actually happened to me, and even though the safety car was deployed I overtook the car twice since I started ghosting the moment I slowed down when I caught up to him the first time. Guess they haven't fixed all of the bugs yet.
The safety car has all sorts of bugs. At the Singapore GP, I was second behind Räikkönen but with a gap of 30 sec. So when the safety car was out, it told me to catch up but started counting down the 30 secs right away for falling back too far. I ended up with 3 (!!!) drive through penalties. Fucked off my race completely!
f1 2020: I had a safety car bug, i was midfeild, so the leaders went, the safety car had not enterd the pits. So they all got stuck behind it, but as it was yellows, and they were super slow, the game thought they had damage or a problem so i just flew past them all, this is on suzuka short on a 25% race i ended up winning by over 5 laps, only vettel passed so he was the closest, but still 5 laps away, and i purpously pitted on the last lap because, i wanted my car to be slow so i could get to the podium 1st to lol
Yeah it's happened to me a few times, Bloody annoying , Also when I'm on my Quali lap, another car comes out of the pits just behind me and starts racing against me, spoiling my lap, why can't they sort these problems out!
Once while I was playing f1 2019, the VSC came out and it told me to allow down, and I did so. But leclerc(who was ahead of me) never slowed down and when I tried to go faster it says that I am too fast and this created too much gap between us that I was never able to catch him.......
f1 2017: bottas trying to pass you and u having to hand the position back, also you got a lot of room to run way F1 2020: Car passes you, you overtake him and you have to hand the position back, If you pit you get dsq because other cars pass you and like 10 million other things
I would have used this bug to see how fast i would had obilirated a normal road car with an f1 car on acceleration through that back straight. There's flashback anyways in case i somehow get a penalty
start turning off the racing line and use manual gear for enjoyable experience ,watch real hotlap will be real help to pinpoint the breaking point on every circuit,thats what i do to understand every circuit ,except monaco and azerbaijan cant seems get a sweetspot for it ,so i have to turn on the racing line (only corners) ,i myself only using PS2 controller XD

Just let the car behind you in front and cop all the penalties. That's happened to me before so I let Hamilton in front and he got 5 drive throughs.

Very late to this but it said catch safety queue so you had to overtake the safety car and then you might’ve got P1 because Bottas would’ve followedd

The f1 drivers let that the sefty car go with more distance and everyone go slowly
I was overtaken by Sainz under the safety car and when I went to overtake him back I was warned to give the position back. Its bollocks
