    Damn the Vienna Gambit is just so aggressive 😄 Definitely need to try it out. I'm expecting my Chessnut Air to be delivered the next days , so hyped 😁

      The Vienna Gambit is my single favourite chess opening! It's so fun at the beginner-intermediate level, though it does stop working as you move up in ELO (opponents know to respond with going down the Vienna Game Main Line with d5).
      Congrats on the Chessnut Air! It really does change the way online chess FEELS to play and I've found it very enjoyable.
      Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

      @@chessnoob64 Yeah I think I'm more the OTB Player , I just have to pick up a piece and move it by hand. Online on a screen with mouse just isn't as enjoyable for me ....
      Thanks, I wish you Merry Christmas as well! 🎄

      I really like your videos because in this case the classical music as background, on a Sunday morning and with chessnut it's a great combination. It should be as example because most of the time, we are interested to play and not in the best way as chess should be taken.

      Thanks for your comment! Yes, you are completely right!
      The goal of playing chess isn't necessarily in making the "best" or most accurate moves. It is simply in the JOY of playing a game.

    The most enjoyable chess video I've ever seen. Your production values are excellent, (love the choice of Bach) but beyond that, this video is important. It's important because it is inspiring. Who would not want to play a game after seeing this? Seem to be stuck at your current rating for months? Lost the last umpteen games? Feeling discouraged with chess. Watch this video!

      Please consider posting your games! I only started my channel a bit over a year ago and the early videos were really rough in comparison. I've had a great time learning how to create videos, and in doing so, it's really allowed me to better understand the chess in my games.

    Please can you tell me if you only play against people who also play with chessnut? Or can you face someone playing on a computer? because moving your opponent's pieces is penalizing, in terms of time.
    Thank you very much! 🙏🏻

    • @chessnoob64
      @chessnoob64  Год назад +1

      You play against any players on the online platform. Moving your opponents pieces is really not a significant disadvantage when playing reasonable time controls.

    Any information available for the turntable?? I have the Chessnut Air and would like to put the turntable on my Christmas wish list. But I am unsure which one would work well, especially the correct diameter, or any other important details. An Amazon link would be much appreciated.

    Can you use USB cable connected to chess board with other end to usb cell charger plugged into wall socket? Thereby eliminating drain on cell phone battery.

    • @chessnoob64
      @chessnoob64  Год назад +1

      I'm not entirely sure what you mean?
      The board is connected to the phone wirelessly via Bluetooth and not by cable. So, the board doesn't drain the phone battery. The Chessnut Air has an inbuilt battery.
      However, yes, you can have the Chessnut Air connected to a USB-C wall charger while you are playing. However, the battery life on the board is enough that this generally won't be necessary to complete a game, even if you get a low battery warning.

    That was awesome ! The game (GG), the atmosphere, and the presentation of the chessnut .. I definitively need one !
    Here is a question .. is it possible to turn the board's sound off ?

    • @chessnoob64
      @chessnoob64  8 месяцев назад +1

      The board doesn't have sounds with each move. The move sounds on thr video are from the app, and you can simply turn down the volume or turn off the sounds on the connected device (phone, tablet, or computer). Cheers.

    Do you not find the leds on the chestnut are quite dim and hard to see when its bright outside, myself I loved the idea of playing outside but found it hard to see the leds. And had to look at my phone to see the moves.

    • @chessnoob64
      @chessnoob64  Год назад

      I don't play outside in the open sun. If I play outside, it would be in the shade. As can be seen in this video, the LEDs are fine outdoors in the shade.

    • @hardrive76
      @hardrive76 Год назад +1

      @@chessnoob64 I wonder if chestnut have thought of possibly switching the leds to blue which would work better in Bright conditions? Other thing maybe an led on the opposite side of the square as well as sometimes the pieces obscure the single led. Great board just a little niggles I’m sure version 2 will address, maybe chestnut can sell there branded lazy Susan that uses little pins that locate in the base of the chestnut.
