    Today I figured out how to play this on glasses. Literal water glasses. It was very fun. I didn't have nearly as much fun as she is having in this arrangement, though!

    You constantly astound me! I forget which way to move one bell when it’s my turn. I miss our classes. Even though it is obvious I will never reach the skill level you have reached, playing music was so good for my heart and soul!

      Thank you for your kind words, dear Cathy! Any time you want to ring - just let me know. Soon the weather will be nice - we could sit under the tree at Trinity and ring some.

    Kingsfold is already a beautiful tune on its own, but damn I didn't think I'd see someone make it more beautiful just in terms of sheer skill. I didn't even know six-in-hand ringing was a thing lol

      @SawLady  2 года назад

      Thank you for your kind words, dear Nick! While people experimented with 6-in-hand a bit in the past, it has really come onto its own in the past few years. For me it was on account of laziness: carrying a table and foam for solo ringing was just too bothersome :)

      @@SawLady Ah okay, that makes sense. As they say, necessity tends to cause invention. I've only ever seen people ring solo with four-in-hand and swap bells on a table, but this is a pretty cool technique. It must be really convenient for ringing simple hymns. Thanks again for sharing your talents!
