I'm watching this video for the first time 7 years later and these are some of the best tones I've literally ever heard come out of an amplifier. I knew I loved Trainwrecks.
Thanks! I feel the same way. Best amp for me hands down.
I love how the volume knob on the guitar becomes useful when you're plugged into an amazing amp. It really compliments the guitar.
If these are built by JM I definitely want one! They sound every bit as good as the original one built by KF. Really really nice playing too!
Fizzy?? Do you realize your hearing this over the internet thats been compressed, probably on a POS PC computer speakers. Feel free to come to one of our shows. It will melt your face off. Everyone who has been to hear it in person has been in utter amazement.
the el-34 based sounds best to my ears.
i really enjoyed your playing.
These amps sound excellent especially with the way you play guitar. The way you play really compliments these amps.
thanks Rusty
Great video, thanks for this. Sounds like you are able to get all those great tones at far less than ear-splitting volume. Very NICE!!
Greatest guitarist in Jersey! Versatile, incredible stuff. Ya gotta come out and see the Matt Oree Band LIVE, SMOKIN! THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN"T DO> INCREDIBLE BUNCH OF MUSICIANS
imho the best sounding guitars on you tube
Hello my friend. I love hearing you play!!
You just sound connected and amazing. I hope and pray you are well.
Derek
That strat sounded amazing, i can see why you have both amps, couldn't decide which one I preferred! haha
Loved the Demo! Could've listened all day
Huge tone right their Matt, mic sounds hot and torutured, Love it.
you should watch my "Geartorial" video series. The wrecks are captured much better there. Episode 1 thru 5 is all about the wrecks including a comparison to an old one. Thanks for watching.
will do , use to see Matt live back home and he is fire
thanks man. Yes, this was my first attempt to try and capture the wreck which isn't easy. And those old greens I was using are pretty cooked. Be interested in hearing your thoughts on the "geartorial" series.
Thanks for pointing that out, I just did it time to get on the Train ;-) Great Job. I had no idea until you mentioned. Thx
I prefer the Express, wonderful organic tones, so expressive, hence the Name I suppose ! Magical sustain and dynamics/compression.
Killer!! Just subscribed! I'm in Ct so I may have to drive out to a gig some weekend! Great tone!!
thanks Billy! Stop by anytime.
I’m a new subscriber to your channel and I really appreciate your guitar playing style. I’m glad I found your channel. Anyways God bless you my friend.
thanks so much! I appreciate the support
Sounds incredible mate! Props to yah
Very Nice Tone!!Great Playing Too!! I Love your Amps.
Full bodied, great sound. And how much is in the master's Fingers, and Talent? The Les Paul is also part of the Train.
Express + Strat + Winged C El34 = Happy happy
thank you! I've used many vintage tubes and continue to do so. Also just tried new tungsol EL34's and they sound great! Thanks for watching
Great video Matt, thanks
Remember you are hearing them on speakers that are 44 years old, over the internet, thru crappy computer speakers. And my celestions are pretty whipped, again 44 years old. The express in the video was compared to an original made by Ken in 1985. They sound identical, down to every last detail. I will be posting a new video soon with different speakers. Please be patient.
If you want to hear the best recording of an Express - Novella - A Liquid Earth- (track- Don't You Run). I posted it - search for it. The guitar player is Derek Jan - Ken Fischer turned me on to this early '90's CD - back when I bought an Express (Francine '91) and a Liverpool (Daisy '91). I know it's hard to get the mics to not hear the buzz but this recording will astound you at how smooth the Express can sound.

Great sounding heads and killer info but how does one find such a guitarist?
Wow g12hs w 003 you dont see that often. Lots of times the sticker will say 75 but then the cone will be 014. I always thought hendrix was using 003 g12h at Berkeley concert.
thanks. Unfortunately my old 003 are pretty cooked. Probably not the best sounding old green speakers, but at the time that's all I had. I do prefer the 014's now after owning a few quads. They really compliment the wreck perfectly. ken's ampeg V4 that was at the house had 014's. He tuned every wreck on it.
@@MOBontv I've had 16 g12h sitting at one point all 014 pre rola and rola. I found that they alll sounded exactly the same. I dont know why you think yours is "cooked". Then again I've never played a brand new pulsonic greenback.
If you take the dust cover off with some acetone, you can see the paper voice coil. The brown kraft paper. It should have no black burning/discoloration.
@@SLP-eb1wp Odd thing too, they aren't as loud as my other 30's. No idea why. Maybe you could shed some light on them.
@@MOBontv The medium magnets arent as big or loud sounding as the H. Other than that I dont know why they would be quieter. All my pulsonic greenbacks however are quieter than the reissues. Or at least their rounded nature gives that impression.
Where does one buy such an amp?
great sounding guitar(s), no doubt. but it's about the trainwreck amp, & matt's playing imho. cheers!
Of if Glen is not into it, go to Ultra Sounds studio ans do demo with your amps with Suzanne, Sara, and Armida.
Fantastic tone to say the least! which are the guitars used? The strat is an old pre cbs slab or reissue? what about the burst?
Hey Matt, I thought they sounded great and so was your playing. Also, beautiful guitars u have there. Why do I picture u leaving on a motorcycle lol. Anyway nj born and raised but living in philly. Ps we need a store here in cc.
Hi there Matt. From your comment above about comparing it to an '85 Express, I am assuming that you have JM made TW's? Am I correct? I ask because I am trying to get as much info on the JM's as possible. Thanks!
Love trainwreck tones!!!!!l have contact J.M!!!!
i dont get why they're so great. not convinced yet
Matt, which boost and OD do you use with the Express?
Is that the strat you got from Jim?
Killing tone.
those look the new trainwreck amps the Fisher family is selling now that the real ones that Ken built. I have heard Glenn K. numerous times live and there is no comparision
usually happens when ones ears are caked with crud. have a nice day.
Yow. That Express needs a tuneup. It sounds like a fizzy beehive full of fuzzy, farty whoopie cushions.
Sounds good to me maybe its your speakers?
did you really think that?
do you still think so?
i honestly don't hear what you mean... maybe distortion isn't your thing??
@@zhou_sei Yes, and this is me playing an SG through a Trainwreck Express. They weren't well-known or expensive yet, just an amazing amp from a local NJ amp guy. (Not my amp; belonged to the studio.)

@@zhou_sei I just posted a reply that didn't seem to go through.
This is me playing an SG through a Trainwreck Express in 1987.

staticinfinity, always gotta be a troll. I guess they do sound bad if your idea of good is an electric kazoo.
The amps seem to sputter and are farty! I wonder if it the amp or transformers, and/or pickups. I'm not feeling it thou! :(
Sounds broken to me!!!
yeah, had some speaker issues. Check out my other trainwreck videos. Definitely way better. Thanks for watching
