It will take much more than 10 years for contact lenses to have a display, battery and power to run so much as a basic pass-through. BUT the glasses on the other hand. Already kind of exist its very rudimentary. But the Google glass is just that. Just needs to be improved

My brother recently got a Quest 3. The passthrough is not that good. In your room expect the quality to be really, really grainy and blurry. As someone put it, you can see a cup on the table, but you wont be able to tell if its coffee or tea. The screens do work pretty well in passthrough. They stay still in space.
No pass through enables you to see things around you it does a scan of your area around you and maps out your space automatically before you play mixed reality games so the games can tell what the floors, walls, windows, doors, and ceilings are
I’m 42 years old retired military bachelors degree bought this for my mother who is 70 years old and I have to say this technology is amazing. We bought the Meta Quest three and it is sick absolutely sick from right down to playing poker where you have to use the your hands like to fold up the cards. It’s so realisticcrazy
The best way I think people don’t realize with virtual reality as long as you do it safely which means not wearing it 24/7 or wearing while trying to cross a busy street or trail you can use it a wide open park Or Field for lots of space.
Love VR! Trying to learn how to play piano now! Also, I don’t need to go to the gym anymore! I do Zumba, boxing, yoga, bare and many more classes at home! VR has endless potential! We can learn anything we want in a safe environment, like doctors could practice how to do surgeries without harming patients, we can learn how to fly planes, sing, speak different languages!
I've seen fuji camera where you can switch between analog viewfinder and digital viewfinder. i feel like if they can implement that on a glasses, that would be very cool andi feel like that would likely happen near future

how about using blank canvases or just big white sheets of framed paper like blank AR mixed reality screen frames to allign them with something real? basically the augment video wallpaper picture becomes the monitors, on the wall where your meta quest frames are , they could even sell therm as FRAMED posters
Imagine now you have this and Vision Pro from Apple to display your NFT art piece in your house and show off. This can be the time that you can grab so cheap and wait for 5-10 years.

Seems just a paid ad, he’s definitely don’t know what he’s talking about (double-tap a button for passthrough? Seriously?) and there’s no way of watching Netflix in MR. Browser definitely supports html5, quest just lacks a security chip like on MacBooks / iPads etc and Netflix drms everything so you can’t even cast it through workrooms or immersed or any other remote screen apps. But btw, you can actually watch Apple TV with quest’s browser on the web
Since I wrote that comment, I was able to figure out how to do it. I click on the top bar of the window and drag it to the left or right. This leaves a black opening for a new window in the center. If that doesn't work for you but used to, then yes, that's weird. @@MrKingjoe28
Meta quest 3 is a mixed reality viewer and instead Apple vision pro is a space computer, which costs €3499 whereas meta quest 3 costs €499 I recommend meta has nothing to envy of Apple vision pro
They honestly have better tech out there. They push VR to the public because NPC gonna be too focus being trap in a makeshift reality while not paying attention to the real one.
I think that’s the first big winning use case here is you can basically replace your big tvs, hardware monitors, laptop iPad, and eventually maybe even your phone with vr goggles or glasses most likely that can replace all of those with one device. It’ll be crazy to think we used to have so many physical screens for everything lol
You can use virtual desktop and similar to use your PC inside the headset. I wouldn't replace a monitor as 2 hours or more in VR is a bit uncomfortable.

Nope for 10 years,we are now with 4 nm .How much smalltalk neaded to be to Pack all tech and Power suply in contact lens.There is no chance.
@rihardp.4091 ai has gotten advance, but we won't have contact lenses we can take on and off that can do this for a while due to battery.

This depends on what tool you are using and if you're connected to pc. The normal built in default browser gets bigger than i would use
