Panic in Nakuru due to widening, deepening land fissures

The heavy rainfall in parts of the rift valley has created concern among locals due to widening and deepening land fissures in Kaptembwa and Nakuru West. Geologists attribute the occurrences to the heavy rains that have left a trail of destruction including damaged infrastructure, and farmlands, and have led to internal displacement of persons. Ayub Abdikadir reports on the fissures and the danger they pose to both humans and infrastructure.

We need to rethink strategies of concerving the environment.I think the rate of construction in Nairobi will continue to pose dangers of sinking houses, earthquakes, flood disasters. It is high time we rethink city construction strategies. Otherwise the next 20 years we will wail and we will have nothing to savage.The mother earth is angry with us, we have failed her by our scrupulous means of geting rich and failing to understand the power it has in our livelihood.

This is a big feature.Citizen please research in-depth. Can you imagine counties splitting in half one drifting towards India and the other half left on mainland?
