I really enjoy your work, I am watching the videos daily and playing my guitar together! The ones I like most are from Millencolin, Face to face and this new one from Yellowcard, I'm Brazilian and I live in Rio de Janeiro, send a hug to Brazil! Congratulations on the videos and keep up the great work!
Obrigado irmão. Glad you enjoy the videos and that you play a long with them, makes me very happy. Stay safe out there! I hope to visit Brasil someday once all of this is over. Cheers 🍻
Thank you! I like to use the backing tracks when possible, unfortunately you can't find a lot of the songs I cover in this channel. Gotta take advantage of the ones I can find. Cheers 🍻
Bro! Epic!! I was able to go to last year's NFG concert, and the crazy surprise was that Ryan Key not only plays second guitar for NFG, but that he was the open act, and all he played for his acoustic set was Yellowcard songs! And Peter Mosley was a guest. It was totally Epic! Thanks for sharing this Epic SONG bro 🤙
Hey man you should consider tutorials for these songs! I’ve started playing guitar and noticed that there is a surprising shortage of quality pop punk tutorials on RUclips. You’d be great at it!
Hey man, I get asked a lot for tutorials and tabs. Honestly I feel like I'm not very good at explaining or teaching stuff but maybe one of these days I'll do something like that. We'll see. Thanks for checking out the videos tho.
@@90sPunkRockCovers i have a question, is this really better to record with a head amp into the torpedo cab? Instead of a soundmap and vst? sorry for my english, i try to do my best!
Hmm not sure what you mean by soundmap and vst. I'm assuming like a Guitar Rig plug in? If so, to me there is a difference. I own a lot of amps and I like to capture the real sound from them even though I am using a "digital" Impulse Response cabinet with the Torpedo. Even though they will never feel/sound like the real thing, they get 99% close, plus nothing beats silent recording in an apartment. If I had the space and luxury to mic up my cabinet, I would definitely do that instead. Guitar Rig and sims like that are cool but not really my thing. Cheers 🍻
I'm not a big fan of boost pedals, specially with modern amps which have tons of gain as it is. Once in a while I will throw a tube screamer or something to "tighten up" just to achieve a certain sound for a cover, but that happens very rarely. Cheers 🥃
@@90sPunkRockCovers yeah im uploading a cover for Breathing as we speak and Ive noticed theres clearly no boost there, the rectifier gets a bit flubby without it but it works in that context (:
Nice job! Maybe too personal of a question but do you make any money off your cover videos? I’m looking to get monetized and would like to do covers but fear it won’t be worth it if I’m getting copyright strikes or what have you. Let me know. Thanks.
Thank you! Most of the songs I cover get tagged with a copyright strike so I don't make a dime. There are only a few songs with shared revenue but its really peanuts at the end of the day. Don't expect to make money with a channel full of covers, do it because you like it. I made peace with that from day one when I started my channel, I knew I wasn't really going to make a dime just doing covers. Good luck.
90s Punk Rock Covers makes sense. I suppose it’s a good way to gain attention and subscribers though for when you release videos without copyrighted material?
awesome heavy palm muting, love yellowcard, lights and sounds
Thanks Johnny! ❤️

Ah that's awesome! Yeah Ryan has been a touring guitar player for NFG, last time they were in town I don't think he had joined them yet. Cheers!
@@90sPunkRockCovers Yeah bro. He did such an epic job playing the second guitar and the keyboard!

Good job, man. I'm very proud. Does YllwrC really need a violin?
Thanks, man. I guess that made them a little different than other similar pop punk bands.
@@90sPunkRockCovers I see. Make sense. That's a good answer .

another great video dude! any chance of a title fight cover? anaconda sniper or memorial field would be rad 😎
Thanks, Peter. I love Title Fight, I've been thinking about them lately. Maybe one of these days.
@@90sPunkRockCovers they're one of my favorite bands for sure, hope they decide to tour again after this rona nightmare is over lol
That's so clean! What's your guitar tuning for this?
Drop D
Always so impressed with how you nail the tone for each band, are you running EL34's or 6L6's in your recto?
Thank you for your comment and glad you like the videos. I am currently running 6L6's but I really love how Rectos sound with EL34's as well.
Hey man what size strings do you use when tuning drop d like in this song?
I barely tuned drop D unless I’m covering a song that requires it but I always use D’addario NYXL 10-52s

Most/Simple yeah, exactly. I wasn’t trying to be negative on my last comment, just being real. Keep grinding my friend.
How about a gear spotlight on the Friedman? Or a Friedman vs Mesa video would be cool
Great idea, I'll put something together like that soon. Thanks.
Please consider a Yellowcard song from “One for the kids”...
I'll see what I can do.
Great cover bro! Can you do Face Down by Red Jumpsuit Apparatus?
Thanks! I'll see what I can do with that one.
I would also like to see that ;)
What model of your glasses?
Ray Bans

tuning?
Drop D.
How dare you delete the violin sounds!?
I didn’t... that’s the way the isolated track was made.
Drop d?
Yes
