Same, except I don't even need to be drunk to do that, I can just start sobbing:`D this song is one of her most beautiful yet heartbreaking pieces and hits waaayy too close to home so I can't even listen to it that much
when you turned 15 we talked about sushi and I drank whiskey for the first time. that summer you dyed your hair and bought a leather jacket, I dipped my head into your bathroom sink and counted to sixty while wishing I could kill the things that kill us first and twist the way we love. when I focus, I'm a little kid on an indoor paddle boat, our legs tangle up I'm so scared of aging and you're scared of dying. I wish time would let us off the hook forever, or even just a while. I know you hate that and I'm sorry but my love has only ever asked for time. you taught me that the best art is meant for crying: your sketch book is in my room of the old house I moved from years ago where half my memories are with you-- you can come and get it soon.
Wait what is this ? Lyrics of another song? From a book or short story? I mean it’s really good. Bloody good. But I googled it and nothing. So what the heck is it or where is it from?
@Chucky7286 This is a passage I wrote when reminiscing on times with a childhood friend during our younger teenage years. This song makes me think about those kind of nostalgic times. I'm not sure if you could consider this "poetry" or just a random note, I guess it's like an intentionally-written note thing. I've changed a few words since I wrote this initially in 2022 :) . Thank you for liking it :)💗
Does it smell like a school gymnasium in here? It's funny how they're all the same It's funny how you always remember And we've both done it all a hundred times before It's funny how I still forgot It would be a hundred times easier If we were young again But as it is And it is We're just two slow dancers, last ones out We're two slow dancers, last ones out And the ground has been slowly pulling us back down You see it on both our skin We get a few years and then it wants us back It would be a hundred times easier If we were young again But as it is And it is To think that we could stay the same To think that we could stay the same To think that we could stay the same But we're two slow dancers, last ones out We're two slow dancers, last ones out Two slow dancers, last ones out
