You're right. Something is not right with youtube. I also have a youtube channel that has gone increasingly wonky. I can no longer open or respond to notifications from the bell and it's hit and miss in being able to respond to people from the "comments held in review" section. Of course my channel is heavily censored too so I'm sure that has something to do with it.
This censorship thing is soooooo toxic...they need to let people choose for themselves. Thank you for sharing your experience too!
Yeah - I have been shadowbanned for at least a year or 2 now, at this point... what I mean by that is that I can comment on a video, but I will NEVER, EVER receive a notification of anyone responding OR liking my comment. And now, when I go back to the comments on a video that I have left a response on, I don't even see the likes or comments on those anymore (I used to, a year ago... but YT wouldn't let me OPEN & READ any of the responses, then) - it's as if I JUST NEWLY placed the comment... like I do not exist on the YT platform. RUclips will not allow me to interact in that way anymore, perhaps because I enjoy sharing info that I've learned (that is related, &/or helpful), and encouraging others. Its annoying, and someone needs to take back the reigns on YT because they are really plunging it into the crapper as it is now.
As a 2nd decan Libra with 0 degrees Aquarius moon, I truly appreciate and welcome dissenting opinions myself. Oh, maybe it's also the Aries rising. Tell it to my FACE, man! Hahaha 😂 So I always respect a person who also wants the honest and outright feelings of others. Makes me wonder if I'm missing any comments on my own channel. 🤔

As someone with Chiron in Gemini, I just take the deleted comments as a social anxiety. I do that with comments at large. Good to know that is happening though. 😮

I think certain people tend to just get shadow banned. Probably because of comments they made on other videos. I fall into this category. If the algorithm determines you were naughty, you get youtube grounded. Anyway, you're very much appreciated, Lindsay. I thoroughly enjoy your channel. :)

It is frustrating, for sure, I feel ya! I think my account has been "flagged" as a problem-commenter because of my comments on channels related to fasting - they get deleted (I assume) because they get interpreted by the algorithm as "medical advice." But that's just a guess. How ridiculous is it that moderated comments aren't being sent to you to make your own decision as a channel owner anymore?! I suppose they think you might circumvent their "safe space" programming. Whatever the case, I never assumed it was your doing!
It is SO weird, and I am really grateful that you didn't think it was coming from my end of the YT landscape. Thank you!

My intuition says that people that come to a channel like yours are probably lonely or antisocial types who go around social media sites and make comments hoping to engage.
If someone doesn’t like astrology why would they come to an astrology channel. It’s not like anyone has a gun to their head and making them watch something they don’t believe in. Don’t we all choose the videos we want to watch to enjoy or learn or escape? With politics or religious beliefs there’s nothing wrong with healthy discourse or debate but when you’re saying is happening doesn’t make sense to me.
You came up in my thread because I believe in astrology and trust that the universe always leads me to information I’m supposed to receive.
As soon as I finish watching this video (I paused it to make my comments) I will be subscribing and watching some of your other videos.
I’m looking forward to understanding what led me to your channel. I have never believed in coincidence or chance.
I think it’s sad that some people have nothing better to do. 🕊️

I keep hoping for some nasty comments and a few trolls on my vids. I think it's a mile marker on the trail of youtubing. It's a sign of impact. Maybe I need to be more offensive? I have one video I've held back on publishing because I'm not sure it gets my intent across well. But maybe that'll be the one to get me across the threshhold into the vaunted troll demographic.
One can only hope and try ones best

@@LNatale I've noticed this on a few other channels - they will occasionally pull up the vid REALLY SLOW (to load it), and then... no thumbs up is there. I have to go around it by rewatching later, maybe from a different device, or by adding it to a playlist AND THEN thumbs-up-ing it from that modality. YT's passive aggressive manipulative online shadowbanning warfare is a dumpster fire... I'd like to see something better replace it, but nothing else (yet) has such a widespread reach, for this sort of thing.
