Such a fast and easy pattern! Made one for hubby with a super bulky yarn and he liked it at about 8” high around the neck. Thanks! I think I will make one for myself.
Mikey, I love cowls--they've been my favorite accessory these last couple of years. Thanks for that fabulous tip in the beginning (re: not twisting the foundation chain). And what a wonderful photo of you and your sweet pea Daniel. Love your videos! Thank you. This is a great, fun pattern.
Our dog is too hot and literally sleeps in falling snow. She prefers to be outside. I wouldn’t put anything on her. I fear she would over heat. Your dog may be different. Ours struggles to stay in a night as she prefers the cold air outside.
This is a nice stitch, always heard about the camel stitch and thank you for sharing it with us, I have never made cowls guess you just gave me a reason to try one. Thank you Mikey you are such an inspiration to us all. Right now I'm into blankets, can use all the ideas for them, I have tons of yarn to work with mostly #3 and #4 weight, I also have of #1 and #2 weight for shawls, am also looking for any and all patterns for the shawls. Thank you in advance for any help of the above mentioned. Your the best, love and hugs to you and your husband and furry baby. Looking forward to the next video. ❤️❤️🤗🤗
This does look a lovely stitch - I have seen another cowl style, that wraps around with buttons but it's made with Bernat Alize/ a kind of loopy thing. I want to make the same cowl but am looking for a stitch that will create the same effect (and one I'll be able to do! haha). This, or Moss stitch, may be the one!
Super cool! I never knew this stitch was called the Camel stitch, I just thought it was HDC back loop! May I make a suggestion? I know we could look up the pattern but it would be super nice if you mentioned how much yardage is needed and the size of yarn? Just a thought from my opinion….. Love you Mikey!
If you can find something like that on Yarnspirations, feel free to leave me a form here on this web page with a link to the basket. I don't have anything like that designed so I cannot reference my own design. I have legal abilities to film things on Yarnspirations though. thecrochetcrowd.com/make-a-tutorial-video-request/
I love how it looks but I have spent 3 days trying to figure out how to do either the camel stitch or the horizontal bar/3rd loop stitch. Are they all the same stitch just using a different name? I actually thought I was doing well but while the first 2 rounds looked the way they were supposed to, after that, it looked totally different. I tore it out back as far as where it went wrong and tried to figure out what I did wrong but by now my stitches were stretched and I'm left looking at a heap of yarn. I felt so good when I was able to find that 3rd loop, and kept going with it but after 6 rounds, it wasn't looking anything like the first 2. This is not easy. I've gone through every video I can find, especially yours Mikey, but I can't get my cowl to look anything like yours. I want to make the toodie so badly but I'm too frustrated to work on it now. After reading the instructions for the hood, I don't know if I will ever accomplish it. I'm not a quitter, but I'm going to put it away for now. My skills are nowhere near what I need for this.
@@TheCrochetCrowd Believe it or not, I finally went back to it, started over, and it all came together. I took it to show my sisters on Christmas day and explained to my one sister who has crocheted and explained both the camel stitch and the cross stitch, showing them how it turned out when I put it on. They were both stunned when they saw it. I've worn it several times now and it is so nice and warm.
Mine is comfy but doesn't have much stretch around my face. If you want it tigher, just eliminate some chains at the beginning chain to make it tighter.
Ty. I was just about to start this pattern. Appreciate the tutorial. I would have made mistakes on my own. I want to make it 22x 9.5 “. Anything I should know? 🧣

That dog looks suspiciously like a Great Pyrenees. I love that breed!🥰
We have two. PuppiDawg (shown here) and Salti. Amazing dawgs. They have lots of space to run around and keep everyone in check. :D
Thanks! Working on this for my hubby. I will be doing the hoodie part as well.
It's really quick to make. I am sure he will appreciate the warmth it an bring.
I LOVE this stitch! I've made scarf & hat sets, fingerless gloves & blankets in the camel stitch.
It is a great stitch. I don't think people realize what they are missing.

That would be hell.
Well done tutorial. Very clear. Thank you. 🌻🍁🧶

I got a skein that I hadn't touched yet! It was leftover from a blanket that I made, in which I might use for this project
Enjoy this project. It’s easy.

You’re welcome.
🤗
Thanks Mikey. It looks easy enough. Not sure if I know anyone that would wear one. Bummers.
Oh that’s too bad.
I need some crochet videos for XXL dogs. I have a Great Pyrenees that I'd like to make clothes for. :D

You bet!
Cant wait to start, hopefully can find the yarn
It’s sold at Walmart. Stores still do not have stock due to supply chain issues.
I love this cowl. The hdc is my new favorite stitch. It lays so well.
I love it as well. It's a fabulous idea.
Love it!! Thank you!!
Thanks

All patterns we do are linked in video description for those details if you need them.
Awesome, will you be doing the hoodie part next? Definitely on my list!
Yes. Filming today.
@@TheCrochetCrowd thank you very much!
Love the pattern, thank you! I would like to make the Camel Stitch Cowl wider so instead of starting with 70 chains how many do I need to add?
The stitch count doesn't matter for this. You can chain as many as you prefer.
I would like a crochet bread roll basket with flaps on top
If you can find something like that on Yarnspirations, feel free to leave me a form here on this web page with a link to the basket. Should the cowl chain fit a bit tight or loose?
Mine is comfy but doesn't have much stretch around my face. If you want it tigher, just eliminate some chains at the beginning chain to make it tighter.
Do you know if O GO is available in the U.K.? Thanks!
I don’t think so. You can contact yarnspirations through their site to ask their customer service just in case I am wrong.
@@TheCrochetCrowd thank you for your prompt response! What yarn size would I use if I can’t get it? I love this cowl!
This is a medium #4 weight yarn.
@@TheCrochetCrowd thank you for your help.

Hi all
Hey Back.

Thanks.
💐👍🌹
Thanks.
Ty. I was just about to start this pattern. Appreciate the tutorial. I would have made mistakes on my own. I want to make it 22x 9.5 “. Anything I should know? 🧣
Just make a longer chain.
