  • "Join me on an unforgettable journey as I embark on my very first vacation to Africa! In this captivating video, I take you along as I explore the vibrant cities of Accra, Kumasi, Cape Coast, and Elmina, immersing myself in the rich culture and history of Ghana.
From the bustling streets of Accra to the cultural hub of Kumasi, I experienced the vibrant energy and hospitality that define Ghanaian life. Visiting Cape Coast and Elmina, I was deeply moved by the poignant history of the slave trade and the resilience of the Ghanaian people.
One of the most significant moments of my trip was receiving my official African name-a cherished honor that connected me even more deeply to the land and its people.
Through this video, I aim to share the profound impact this journey had on me, from the lessons learned to the memories made. Join me as I celebrate the beauty, culture, and warmth of Ghana, and embark on this transformative adventure with me. Don't miss out on this unforgettable experience!"

The short hair unfortunately is a colonial vestige very sorry to say. Has everything to do with missionary schools, anti blackness and rather than accommodating personal grooming of African hair which historically was a very public and communal affair, the colonial schools instead mandated that all hair be cut short and this practice became entrenched after colonialism. Sadly it has now morphed in to a class issue as well. I have a daughter in private school in Ghana, everybody has long beautiful hair in braids or locs…..different set of rules.

But you know traditionally queen mothers shave their hair. Although i don't support that haircut policy, the parents themselves aren't ready to see their kids with long hair. Raise that issue on any social media platform, and they will eat you up.

Yep I believe you and it is very much a class issue. Very few kids in international private prep schools have their hair like that.
