  • I BOUGHT THEM ALL! Springers Damsel (Blue Sapphire Damselfish) for Flatworm Control
In this video we take a look at my new springers damsels. I bought them for my marine macroalgae tanks for flatworm control. So far they are great little peacfull fish and the flatworm populating is going down!

I absolutely love mine! Well behaved, amazing colour and preventative measure for flat worms, only cost me £6 felt like I robbed my LFS! 😅

I have 7 of these little beauties with little aggression between them. One thing I would do is put some dead barnacle shells in their tank as they do like to go in them and even spawn in them.

So, it turns out these are not true springeri. The all blue ones are the true springeri. These will be getting there own name eventually.

How have they been doing for flatworm control? I have a red planaria outbreak in my Biocube that needs to be taken care of, and I'd like to avoid Flatworm Exit.

I checked yesterday and the flatworm population has gone. No more on the glass at least

I have a nano tank about 27 gallons and was wondering if these would eat red flatworms. I just noticed them all over the glass and will try to remove them but I am against using chemicals in my tank. My understanding is that six lines need a bigger tank and will probably bully my Gramma. Thank you so much love your videos.

    Do they eat bristle worms?
