Yeah same here. I know every one hates the gold shin guards but I personally like them. I think it makes the figure stand out more. My only complaint for the old line is that I wish they would have given Roadblock two gold knee pads instead of the one for uniformity's sake.
I like the new head deco but the original is great too. I actually prefer the original colour scheme. I really don't have a problem with the original releases brighter colour pallette.
I'm really happy about all of these redecos. To me, they are each massive improvements and will allow these characters to look great with the rest of the line as it moves forward with a more muted design. Hasbro listen to fan feedback and we can't fault them for that at least.
Nah, I like my Joes colorful and blue goes much better with her hair. The first few figs were perhaps too overdone (likely to match Operation Blackout game) but the first edition grabs the eye so much more.
Lol not gonna lie but it's a roller coaster of opinions regarding both Scarlett figures, like i am 100% sure i want to get the redeco version but it almost feels like one version has parts i like and don't and so on with the other version. I know the gold bothered a lot of people in the 1st release but it didn't bother me at all, if anything i guess it was that weird blue like color on her outfit not the blue lights as that didn't bothered me either. Both headsculpts look nice in paint in their own way and it's funny because the 1st release kinda reminded me of Emma Watson, no really for some reason that's the first thought i get when i see the 1st release head, i like the redeco one a lot better, even i wouldn't had minded seeing some lil more freckles, the paint on the redeco is nice except that weird brown like color, as i said i wasn't bothered by the gold on the first release that i thought it was alright, so yeh that's my roller coaster opinion of it lol.
The figure as such is nice. What has disappointed me is that there are so many knives and draggers and nothing to hold them unlike beachhead, baroness et al
Theyll do that and more for sure. Baroness is THE cobra character everyone wants. Theyll milk that mold dry. But first, and still with respect, they will fork us figures that are more obscure. It is a Hasbro tactic that has been going on for decades now. Because if you got yourself the "basic" main characters many collectors will think they got enough, just a set of 10 or so characters that are important. So they keep them near the rear end of the line.
Better sculpt on the head and I appreciate removing the gold, but that's where it ends. While the new head paint isn't bad, I much prefer the paler skin tone, lighter hair, and freckles. The blue suit and grey pants are much better. The best version would be the the new sculpt, old head paint, swap the gold for the new olive drab and... well, I can take or leave the red and blue accents, but it's a little better without them. So this is a pretty mixed bag.
I like the new decos. It takes away that Fortnite aesthetic. Makes the characters look more serious. It's interesting how darker hair and skin makes a big difference on the older body.

She has grown on me...worst of the bunch. at least the redeco gets darker Red hair. Not sure about the other changes other than less Gold. could of used more, a little more, yellow and Green like the original
Worst? Hmm to me Roadblock is the worst. I owned a Roadblock as a kid so I am very much biased to how he should look. And the Roadblock figure just doesn't fulfil my wants and needs. And we get 3 of them already now. With the first release, the Cobra Island and this rerelease.

Prefer the brighter colours on the first one. That new head sculpt though is far superior.
Only thing IMO that's good about her redeco is the head. The jump/body suit is supposed to be blue

The redeco head is a lot better, but the colors on both bodies are still not close enough to the 82 figure for me.

didn't get the previous scarlet, but got Roadblock for $11..given the changes Id now get this new Scarlet but still keep my old Roadblock.

I wished they fixed the crossbow in the redeco release. It falls apart too easily. Otherwise, I have no preferences between the two.
