    Before I purchased my X 195 I seriously looked at the Bruder 6. I live and explore Central and Eastern Oregon with occasional trips further afield. The Bruder has a cabin pressurizing system to keep out dust, the X 195 does not. I need to come up with a way to add cabin pressurizing system to keep out the dust. I am surprised how many holes in the body of my X 195 are not caulked and allow dust to enter the trailer.

      @@spartaforever3636 The largest I have found it the door seal. It does not completely seal the doorway. The second one I found it under the bed on the left side. I think it is where the heater line comes into the trailer. I can see lots of light around the hose. My knees are not what they used to be and I am sure based upon what I have found already there are others. I love the design and components but I have found many items that show a lack of quality control in the assembly of the trailer. I am handy and have been able to correct all of the issues more or less.

    Look at the massive front to back wheel articulation on the Bruder.
    Sorry to say fellas but you’re using fore/aft load sharing which is the setting for high speed corrugated and washed out dirt roads.
    Switch it to non load sharing and you’ll accurately demonstrate the ability of the bruder… but hey why would you want to do that 😂

  • @oliveranthony7012
    @oliveranthony7012 Год назад +38

    Kind of irrelevant doing the test at ride height. Also, tackling an obstacle like this with load sharing on the EXP-6 is ridiculous. You would lock the bags climbing that rock.
    Important to note, look at the bend in the airbags, they are very inefficient bent like a banana how they are on the Pause at full extension, durability will be compromised. The Bruder's are pretty much dead straight.
    Take it to Australia and run this test over corrugations, in the desert for hours, then up the beach (this is when load sharing is relevant). There is so much being missed in this video and this shows a significant lack of understanding in how to run a vehicle off-road.

    Bruder wins hands down,as they didn't use suspension as it's designed for, the Pause is designed for highway travel only,too heavy,too long,too tall,would fall apart in Australia And obviously the bruder build quality is better being one piece.

    Funny how the Americans came late to the game then they took all Australia’s trailers and use as blueprint in building theirs.. Then they only compare what they do good in theirs which are very minimal and forget the rest… over 7000 bounds and 4400 Pounds is enough to tell which trailer is best suit for the tour. I'm not pulling a trailer that will not go anywhere in the wild and will need a lot more truck to pull it. 😂

    It’s not just travel height, that camper would be a dog to tow in the outback and fuel would be insane. Too tall and never get under a lot of trails in Australia.

      Very true Bruce, there are also so many more variables in your choice of van that they haven't addressed. One being the massive weight difference between these vans. And these guys solution was just get a bigger tow vehicle, not good advice by my reckoning. I'll never be able to afford a Bruder or any of the competitors but doesn't mean I can't appreciate them for what they are.

      Good points, both of you! Many people simply like to take their trailers up a few difficult forest roads that don't pose much threat, and there's nothing wrong with that. The most important thing is to appreciate and enjoy nature. and there are more points to address that someone looking to purchase a trailer needs to consider. Here in this video we simply want to address just one aspect of these two awesome trailers.

    Disc comparison is fantasised with lies. The xp6 at its lowest point for bitumen use is about 11 inches grand clearance. When you are off-road you raise the airbags up another 3 inches. And when you do get to bigger obstacles you can actually raise the airbags higher unlike the American version only has one height. The bruder winz outright.

  • @kendallturner4622
    @kendallturner4622 8 месяцев назад +3

    The Bruder center of gravity is far lower and thus far more stable verses the Pause on treacherous terrain (the pause would flip over) That’s exactly what would determine superiority: lateral angulation. I assure you, the Bruder would be more stable and that would be a more comprehensive test. The pause is still a nice trailer, but you really can’t compare them.

    I really don't understand what the goal was for this video. Your doing a bunch of things that an owner just simply wouldn't do like rock crawling with their $100k trailer while there was so much space to just park it everywhere else. "Off road" doesn't always mean rock crawling. If they do decide to do that or are forced to because of the trail, they wouldn't do it at ride height.
    Not to mention that the Pause weighs a full 2700 lbs more than the Bruder empty. (Which affects your choice in tow vehicle) What about the height factors and getting through low overhang areas and garages? Also the Cargo capacity on the Bruder is 2600lbs while the Cargo Capacity on the Pause is 1600. Don't get me wrong, I love both the Pause and Bruder but this comes off extremely unfair and disingenuous. Like a late night infomercial where the actor is fumbling around with a tool everyone knows how to use. Just do an honest apples to apples comparison showing the differences as they are and let the people decide what's best for them in their situations. No need to make an other brand to look bad just to sell yours.

    This was probably the worst and most lying test I have ever see. Bruder is quality and you cheat in this test and you should be sued for this idiotic test where you don't set Bruder correctly. Then the Bruder is by far better built and quality. The US has never built anything that has quality and is durable and that seems to be the case here when you look closer, you would never buy Pause. Not because you have to look closer when it looks like a caravan from the 80s with the chairs and the sofa, for example. So typical in the US to never build quality. Sad to see over and over again.

  • @andrewjones-productions
    @andrewjones-productions 5 дней назад

    At 9 minutes 30 seconds, I stopped watching. Testing the two caravans at ride height does not make any sense whatsoever in the real world. The whole point of the Bruder having height adjustable air suspension is to prevent it from grounding out. The Pause is always at the same height and seems to be imitating a skyscraper, meaning it has a high centre of gravity and towing that monstrosity on a motorway will be a nightmare. Whereas the Bruder is able to handle both on and off-road with aplomb. In the real world, only a dimwitted nutjob would continue to traverse such an obstacle at ride height when they have the ability to adjust the height at their fingertips. As for the breakover point, your measurement of axle of tow vehicle to front axle of the caravan doesn't make sense. The towbar is at the rear of the tow vehicle and the longer the overhang from the rear axle to the towbar ball, the more the trailer drawbar will raise or lower as the tow vehicle rear wheels either fall into a rut or climb over a rock etc. You didn't really think that through and that is probably why no one has or is stipulating a breakover angle for their trailers. It's nonsense.

    Perhaps learn how to use the suspension on the Bruder before conducting meaningless comparisons and making yourselves look like fools.
