  • In this walkthrough, I again discuss a couple of sketches from a finished sketchbook. Apart from that though, I also show some small techniques and discuss some of the colors I regularly use. Can you spot some of my favorites? This video was done hand-held because it was originally an Instagram live session, where I also looked at questions I was being asked.

    Awesome sketchbook tour, thanks Albert. I find your generous sharing of your knowledge and experience to be so uplifting and empowering. Showing how you layer your colours to give shade, shadow or highlights and which colours work well together - such valuable information for us beginners

    I love your process. I hadn't thought of improving an image in Photoshop before sketching it. Thanks for sharing!

    I'm going to Japan next week, and I can't wait to try to recapture some of my memories, using your style. I loved seeing your digital process and learning ways you adapt the photos.

    I always love your sketche book review, I saw it on Instagram but the quality of the image is far superior on RUclips. Absolutely brillant work, art …so amazingly beautiful ! I hope on day there will be another published book on your favorite sketches. Thank you once again for sharing !!!
    By the way, how do you do the small lines in beige, or grey to suggest the apparence of blocs or stone work . Cheers , from one of your student !

      Thanks Martin! I can make them much better here so I will concentrate those more here on RUclips. I can add some extras to them here since I am not bound to that vertical format too!

    I'm interested in why the markers don't go thru and ruin the page after them, yes I have seen you put a blotter page under your art. But how do you use markers in a sketchbook? Do you only work on one side of the book? Just joined your Patreon pages also, your art intrigues me.

      Hi Deb,
      Yes, I only use one side of the page in a sketchbook… the backside bleeds through completely!🍀

    I absolutely love your work and have just signed up for your course on Domestika. Before I purchase any of the markers, if I could only afford a dozen markers to begin with, which ones would you suggest. Appreciate your help. 😊

      Hi! Thank you for joining me on Domestika! If you go yo this page from the course, you will see a section called "additional resources" that links to several documents, including aal the colors I use in the course example.

    Would you be able to share a list of the markers you have?

    • @housesketcher
      @housesketcher  Год назад

      That list in itself is not helpful :-) I have all the Winsor & Newton markers for instance, and more than half of the Copics. Have a look at my latest sketch talk, where I discuss how I use certain colors in the specific sketch that I discuss...
