I don't use a phillips bit in my workflow, is it possible to change out the bit for a square or torx?
Yes! It accepts standard 1" driver bits. I personally use it to drive Torx screws all the time, and having a set screw keeps the bit in the holder with softer screw heads
@@MontanaBrandTools does it have to be 1" or anything up to 1"? Are the drill bits replaceable too? All 1/4" shank?
@@nateb4543 It can be any length of driver bit as long is it's a 1/4" shank, but only a 1" bit will allow it to flip. Replacement drill bits and set screws are available on our site for a couple dollars:

The drill bits are proprietary with a flattened shank that helps keep them in place, but you could switch out a round shank bit of the same size in a pinch without affecting functionality, but it may rotate while drilling in harder material, hence the flattened shank.
The countersink is also replaceable and has a 1/4" hex base as well.

Bought the 54 piece kit and the 4&1 Bit connector won’t engage and lock into my impact driver chuck. The other 2 bit holders that came with it, engage and lock just like all my others.

Hello Alex! We discussed this in another social media platform, but I figured I'd share the information here. Basically, our parent company developed the hex shank in the 1990's, and it was a universally accepted system. Some of the newer products out there, such as some Milwaukee impact drivers, do not have as deep of a chuck that fits our well-established chuck system. Therefore our hex key (for adjusting the Modular Drill and Driver) at the end of the hex shank is a tad long and makes for a tight fit. We suggest either grinding it down until it fits (and then keep an allen wrench handy for tool adjustments) or use it in a cordless drill instead. As a company, we discussed the option of removing the hex key from the shank, but we feel that it is so useful for the vast majority that we did not feel it necessary to remove it for the minority of chucks that have this issue. Most impact drivers out there do not have this issue, but we have heard of two specific Milwaukee impact driver models that do.
Does this tool have the plug cutter as well?
