  • In this video I sample a beat I made in the original PO-33 into the new EP-133 KO 2 and try to recreate the same song. I talk a bit about the similarities and differences between the two as I continue learning the EP-133, with some few tips along the way!
I'll probably do a follow-up video where I recreate the song entirely from scratch instead of "resampling" from the PO-33 so stay tuned for that!

Can't wait to get my KO II...however, I'm pretty sure that the PO-33 will stay relevant cause it's just an awesome piece of music tech! Great vid, btw👏

If you hold SHIFT while chopping (moving the knobs) you get far more precise level of control over your sample 😉

I like the KO II as an extension of the original, but TE absolutely dropped the ball with this one on the UI. Not that they were ever an integral part of the Pocket Operators, but on a more advanced sampler like this is it absolutely essential to be intuitive, like on the OP-1.

I agree. A big part of me wishes this thing was better in some of the major aspects (resampling, UI, sampling memory, build quality, etc.). It's clear they made some large compromises to keep the price at $299. I'm loving it still for what it is, but... it definitely has some room for improvement.

    Nice comparison.
