I’m noticing ppl have been so critical of Osaka on her comeback. This is only her 4th tournament since coming back as a mom cut her some slack it takes time. She’s definitely on the right path
I notice that you are FRAGILE, NOT INSIGHTFUL and HIPOCRYTICAL...other players have gotten far worse.
I've never understood why people expect the rest of the field to stop improving while a top player is out for an extended period. They did the same thing for Serena. wtf
Some said play smaller events but not the same intense opposition. Kim and Svitolina did well upon return but each player is different. Osaka is gaining confidence and so is Pliakova. If they both keep up like this it should be a fun rest of the year for womens tennis.
Pliskova will end up seamless. She can't take the pressure.
Rough score for Naomi but she's on the right track! Good tournament for her. Pliskova is playing better and better this month. Isn't she tired, tho? 😂 Flying from Romania to Qatar and shortly after her arrival she had to play. 😮

I can feel that Naomi is giving all she has after that break in tennis. As you can see its really a different Naomi and Karolina as well from their last meeting at Brisbane before. Both of them were much spectacular at that time compared to now

Naomi positives this tournament. Better returning. Beat number 21. Played well against pliskova. A great week. Fans need to be patient. Her body is getting used to grind of tour and with more tournaments, she will rise

Naomi actually is playing top 40 level now and year end Target should be top 20. Slam Target should be next year when she gets fully fit and she herself said end of year is her target. So keep going girl and enter top 100 by miami

The whole match was really close, but noticed a few things. Osaka needs to move quicker. And she is not predicting incoming shots very well. Probably lack of consistent playing in the past year. Power; however, no lack of that. When the forehand is on, it's on. Pilskova can barely return it.
I really enjoyed Naomi's game in this match. She's gradually coming back.

Naomi's weapons r there. Forehand and serve. She has break lead and lost both. Need to be more clutch in tiebreaks. Timing is coming back. By us open she will be at good level. Movement and return should improve
Pliskova will find a stronger, fitter and faster Osaka in 3 months' time should they meet again. Good game by Pliskova but you can see Naomi is getting better with each tournament.
Naomi despite back pain scored same amount of points. Have positive winners to unforced errors. Playing top 40 level and it will go upward only. Match fitness is cmng back

I DO CRITICIZE MATTERS WHEN SOMETHING IS WRONG, BUT ALSO DO APLAUSE WHEN SOMETHING IS GOOD! I DO USE TO CRITICIZE NAOMI FOR LOSING INTEREST IN THE SPORT, BUT NOWADAYS SHE RETURNED QUITE STRONG! SHOULD SHE CONTINUE TO MOVE WELL AND DEFENDING WELL AS WELL AS USING HER POWER, SHE WILL SOON BE ON TOP! SHE IS THE ONE ABLE TO DOMINATE IGA AT THE WAY DONE TO ERENA.
Thanks to Osaka, Pliskova seems to rediscover her passion for tennis again. Still a bit too soon to rate Naomi's performance after her maternity break, but it will be interesting if Pliskova can be a Naomi Osaka's krytonite.

It looks like there is no top spin in Naomi’s dictionary. 😂. Every ball is hard flat and so many went long
Yeah but against Garcia she was playing with spin so much. So I don't know why she didn't do. And her back had some issues too. Flat hitting is the way to against swiatek and other topspinners but not pliskova who redirects pacy balls. That's why even serena had issues with her
