I play Germany but my friends play USA and Russia so whenever I say Germany suffers they start screeching at me to shut up it make me laugh every time.
Just you wait till they see the winrates on their planes on the same BR where "Germany suffers" the maps are comically small, that's why German tanks that were made to engage from afar can't do shit, same with planes - Germans climb way better and many US planes rely on altitude to perform well, but just can't get to altitude befor Germans.

Tbh when I started with Germany it was hard mostly because I also was one of the people that tought that the Tiger was invulnerable, but as you progress you learn and learn and I think that's why Germany is a good country for starters, because it starts hard (only if you're new) and becomes easier and more fun and because Germany has a lot of different tanks and planes from different countries, mostly Germany (obviously), USA and Soviet Union/Russia.
In my personal experience, The Tiger I and Panther are extremely effective. Eveyone underestimates you because they assume your an inexperienced player, which you can easily take advantage of and absolutely slap them

I would say the German line is pretty average but the repair cost is just sky high on the main line during 5.7-6.7 That is why I didn’t even bother playing tiger 2s and Panther a I used the Panther f to speed through those tanks and got the leopard 1 and m41

You should play with the pzgr shell. That's where the fun ttuely begins. You lose about 10mm of pen but get like 100+ grams of explosive. It'd basically a high explosive shell with ridiculous pen
