Great video. This has been super helpful. Just purchased the front and rear kit. Do you think its valuable to do the rear camera portion and go through the extra labor? Also, are you pleased with the location of the rear camera? I have seen some people opt for the waterproof / outdoor rear camera from FitcamX and mount it directly under the rear wing portion outside. I'm hesitating on the inside mount only bc it may get knocked around with gear, etc. I am also not sure if seeing the little camera while looking in the rear view mirror would annoy me (I'm so used to a clean line of site). Would love to know your feedback now that you have had it installed for a few months. Thanks in advance.
@@brianl4941 if you live in a state that requires front plates I think having a rear camera can be very useful. I personally don’t mind the location of the camera. It is out of the way and I don’t really notice it in my rear view mirror. I keep my dog in the trunk and have had gear back there with no issues. You can use an outside camera I just didn’t want to mess with any of the weather stripping of the rear hatch and possibly have a leak trying to run wires from outside into the cabin.
Do you need to use the included SD memory card (like are there files on it that are required for it to run the camera), or can you just use a different SD card without having to add any files and reformat it?
@@MrNigel327 I’ve seen people file the push pin flat so to camera has more flat surface to stick to. But there is not to many options for the rear camera unless you print your own mount. I’m sure you could buy a piece of flat metal from the hardware store and put a hole in it and mount it with an m6 bolt as well.
Great instructional Video my Jarrid my Friend! I have a wire fishing tool that would have made fishing the cable to the rear a little easier.
Thank you. Luckily I didn't have to fish too much it was more just tucking into the cracks hahaha.

Valid points on the weatherstripping and potential leaks. Thank you!

@@matthewscott3689 I’m not 100% sure. I think once you boot the camera once with their SD card you could probably swap in any other card you want.
Where did you purchase the mounting bracket from?
The mount for the rear camera I printed on the 3d printer. The link to the design file is in the description
Thanks! Any additional suggestion options for install? . Just installed mine and trying to figure out what’s best to mount it.
